I didn't know those things were actually two piece either (stupid me). I am used to the traditional JDM two pieces wheels. I didn't realize that the whole outer lip came off on these. I will have to see if I can find a outer lip with more lip.
Thanks thatdoodle for showing me how dumb I was
HA HA
Don't worry dcmullis you aren't stepping on anybody's toes around here man. Just having some fun that is all. The fender flares are slow going at the moment. I don't want to mount them without having the right wheels to fill them up.
dude thats so sick, you got so many parts...i would be interested in a set of tail lights and those corners, that is if you are going to sell a set. i really need taillights since mine are full of water. haha.
Oh, and if you are still looking for a wide wheel, see if you can find some wide RH cups. Ive alwasy thought those would look bad ass on a wagon with some dish......
I may be in Germany but I want stuff the Germans "CAN'T" get. RH cup I can find all day long. The Germans require paperwork to go with the wheels that says that wheels is ALLOWED to be on that particular car. Also I get that great US domestic shipping rate rather than international shipping so it is cheaper for me to get them from the states, especially with this terrible euro vs dollar rate.
I was driving my Bosses Magnum through the hills there. The car is very "americanized" with 22 in crome etc etc, so as you can imagine, it gets alot of attention in the German country side. We stopped at a gas station and the cops rolled up. They were checking out the car, and I thought it was cool until my boss told me:
"Wow, I hope they dont start asking questions."
I said "Why?"
"The wheels dont pass TUV."
YOUR FREAKIN WHEELS HAVE TO PASS TUV??
Regardless, still wish I was there, I love that country. Next to Canada, its my favorit place!
Yep wheels must have TUV papers also. They can get custom wheels on their cars but they have to pay quite a bit and the "traglast" numbers must be on the back of the car. Traglast is some kind of weight number on the back of the rim.
It is ridiculous the amount of crap they have to go through to put anything aftermarket on their cars. Before it was much easier when we had USA plates. Now they say that due to force protection we must all have German plates. This sucks because now the police can't tell us apart so they can hassle all of us now.
Vanocuver where I am from has some good (or DID have some good befrore I left) Smog rules. basically you could do whatever you want, as long as it passed the emmision levels. That to me seems fair.
Not like California where EVERYTHING is illigal now. Its retarded. Cant wait to leave.
The German TUV thing is great in that it means that aftermarket parts that are made in Germany are usually very high quality peices, but Im sure it sucks to live there trying to do mods to a car.
I mean, even those fender flairs, couldnt you get pulled over for that?
But the amount of Beer, holidays, fast cars, clean air, and the Berg Cup there makes up for it, so you get no sympathy from me
As long as I have my miliary ID card they can pull me over but they can't ticket me for the items on my car. The only thing they can give me is a fix-it ticket but only for exhaust (90DB is the limit), and window tint. Other stuff they can't complain about. So I am all good.
I just moved into the country so the air is very nice out here. Plus the Germans have just passed a new law where certain cars aren't allowed in Down town areas due to pollution. So all cars are given color coded stickers to show how much they pollute. The wagon is too old for a sticker but out here in the country the cities haven't adopted this yet. Since the public transportation here is so great I can always part outside the big cities and just ride in.
I was looking at moving to Germany to work on a Brit mil base.
It was right by several borders so I figured to live in France, reg car in Belgium and work in Germany.
I didn't get the job
I'll be over this summer and probably passing again. We should sort something out this time, perhaps an exhange of parts at the very least!
Haven't posted in awhile but dont have much to report. Still waiting on my motor to come back from the full rebuild.
Bought some ksports, 2.5 high flow cat (not a test pipe), 2.5 stainless muffler, stainless exhaust hangers, walbro fuel pump, and waiting on some ksport lower control arms.
And a cool little gift for my wife that NED setup for me.

Wasn't sure if you there was a such thing as too much.
Yes you see it right, 4 pairs of clean corners 2 sets of tails
two more sets of tails and some extra
two lower consoles, two sets of rear fogs with 88-89 switches
usdm and edm plate holders, 3 front mudflaps, one pair of 4wd mudflaps. Can't have enough when your wagon scrapes flaps when driving.
Doors, hoods, rear hatch
two sets of rear compartments
oem window visors
headrests, roof rack
So can you ever have too many wagon parts???
That intercooler looks oddly familiar...I thought it'd be mounted horizontally by now though.
I actually had to leave some parts there because I couldn't fit them all into the back of my truck.
I will let 2 sets of tails, 2 sets of clear, and one lower console go.
well, if you are interested in selling... i'd be interested in buying.
I have some German buddies come that come over and always bring cash.
Hit me up Wago we can work something out but you are building up a pretty good tab already aren't you? HA HA
i'll never get engine swap this way, haha...
oh, looks like i will be picking up that hatch actually for $150... but i got a long time before that needs to happen
i wish i had crap that i could send you in trade, but not so btw, i finally got a brake pad, hahhaa so i'll be shipping out your tails soon
I hate you.
And with those flares you should defiently consider PMing me about that bull bar.........
