Euro shuttle, JRSC, flared, 16x10s, is 2015 the year?

61.jpg

Finally learned how to post pics.

One of the pics has the headlight adjusters on it which one member was asking about and another has a set of 13X7 wheels sitting next to it that I had sitting around. I would have to slam this civic about 6 inches to make them look good though. Hope this works and hope you guys like it.

That is the worst side of the car. It has a little damage next to the front fender. Nothing really bad considering the rest of the car. Clear corners, clear turn signal lenses, hard rear cargo cover, with extra compartments. 136,000 kms (84,000 miles), electric sunroof. Now I need some wheels, and a lowering kit. So if you any of you guys have one that wouldn't mind shipping them (US Military address) let me know.

Good find! Interesting about the light adjustment, thats pretty cool.

What size are those stock rims?
  • ragenasianragenasian Moderator
the rims are a whopping 13 inches. That is why I threw my other 13s up there to see how they would look. It is just that I have 165/80/13 on there and my other set is 185/55/13. I took the stockers off and threw those on there and it looked hilarious. Like a lowrider with the suspension on the up position.

Very nice. Any chance you can find any parts? Im interested in the center console for starts. I've been trying to find that console for a left hand steering wagon. The rear hard cover is great also.
  • ragenasianragenasian Moderator
Now I have had two jspec civic si's and one jspec civic sir (1990 civic with a stock b16) and it seemed that all the center consoles were the same. Would this not work with the wagon??? Again I have been out of the honda loop for a few years now so be easy on me. I actually just tore out my center console and modified the lower half to accommodate a graphic equalizer and it seemed identical to the civic si model ones. Maybe it is because all the hondas I have owned were jdm models. I will check the junk yard and see if they have one and check it for reference. If these JDM ones work I should be able to get quite few pretty cheap.

As for the rear hatch good luck. These cars are pretty rare over here so people are more likely to sell the car whole then piece it out. If I find one though NJ you will be the first to know. In fact if I would have driven 8 hours I could have actually picked up a 4wd version of the 92-95 which is very very rare. However driving 8 hours or driving 10 minutes to pick up the 1991, I picked 10 minutes. It would have been very very cool to have though.

No pressure. If you come accross the wagon console that would be great. I had bought a 91 JDM civic from Ebay but it didn't reach my dash it was too short. I think the wagon floor is lower than the other civics. Anyway thanks in advance for checking.
  • love the car. how does the head light adjustments work? i think those rims look great. i like the deep dish.
  • ragenasianragenasian Moderator
The headlights have if I remember correctly small motors where the headlight adjustments are. So in the wagon there is the switch from 0-3. At night if you park the car up against a wall you can move the switch and watch the headlight beam move up and down. It helps when you have people or weight in the back so you can adjust the headlights down or up as you need them.

The rims are 13x7 but again the tires are just too small. These were on my 1979 opel which sat about 2 inches off the ground. I had no wheel gap even with the 13's on there. It is too bad because they do have a nice lip to them but I am probably going to sell them now. I can get a really nice set of 14's cheap but am wanting 15's. Anybody want to trade my 13 for some 15 :D Thanks for all the compliments on the car. It definately is too slow considering my 200sx has about 250hp from a 4 banger. Too bad I can't put my extra turbo motor in this thing.

I did just buy a d16y7 with a sohc vtec head on it for 50 bucks. We will have to see what comes of that later.

There is a pic of the new shoes in the link above. I picked up some 15 inch BBS wheels for $50 from the local military craft shop. Picking up some really good tires for it tomorrow but I thought I would throw them on to see what the ride would look like and to get your feedback. I purchased a set of OZ rims yesterday with tires for 120 bucks (rims are mint) but they were unfortunately 4x114.3. Luckily I can use those on my Nissan Primera GT, or my Nissan 200sx 8) Also bought a D16y7 with a SOHC VTEC head for 50 bucks. Anybody ever put one of these in a 4wd wagon??? Picked up a free CRX SI bumper so I can salvage the lip off of it.

    RAMBLE RAMBLE

Hopefully my buddy will be able to hook me up with a set of TEIN NA soon from Japan. I want to slam this baby but it is great not having to worry about the curbs and pot holes :D

I finished installing my stereo system. Installed some stuff I had laying around my house.

    Pioneer - in dash dvd
    Pioneer - graphic equalizer
    Farenheit - FM modulator
    5 inch screen
dvd player - under the seat due to the fact that the pioneer in dash has an emergency brake kill switch. Won't work unless you have the brake on.
    Pioneer 6x9s
    JVC 6"
    1 FARAD cap
10 inch XENON sub (great sub pounds hard or at least hard enough for me)
    1000 Watt Kenwood amp

Again this is all crap I had laying around the house. I collect a lot of car audio and parts.

Also put the CRX SI lip on today too. If anybody wants a quick write up I can do it. Actually was really easy and fit rather well.

Oh and check out the sweet steering wheel I got for 25 bucks. Hopefully I can find a hub for this thing soon.
  • on your dvd player if you ground the e-brake wire to the body you then can drive and watch a dvd. great install
  • ragenasianragenasian Moderator
This DVD player doesn't use ground. It uses the positive side. I tried hooking it up to that side but it didn't work either. Some of the newer head units have made it harder to bypass that e-brake. I read on certain ones you would have to actually step on the brake first, then flip a toggle switch you mount. Another guy actually found out that if he hit the brake twice and then flipped a toggle switch he had mounted this got his to work. I guess some of the newer e-brake switches aren't your little 5 cent switches anymore.

I have a 7 inch Kenwood motorized in dash screen that I was able to ground with no problems but that was a little older then then pioneer in dash unit.

So I figured this was too much of a pain in the arse and just mounted an extra one. It was free anyways so why not. Less junk in my house and more stuff in my car.

I think I just finalized this deal with my buddy in Japan.

TEIN HA's for a CRX. What do you guys think. I will be hooking him up with cash on Monday hopefully. 530 bucks. Does this sound pretty good?? He said they have about 6000kms on them.

    58.jpg

I could have bought these also but a little on the expensive side. Couple of months old and cost over $2000 new. These are race coilovers. Freaking sweet. He wanted $1500.

  • your dvd player must be real new like less then a year. right? i think the player might have a gyro in it that shuts the player down when you move. let me know what madel # and ill ask some of my friends that do installs for a bypass.
  • ragenasianragenasian Moderator
    Pioneer DVH-P5000MP

I don't know if your friends will be able to find it as this is probably a European version. I bought it from the local military shop but we usually get these things from the Euro side. I think there should be a US equivalent but I tried doing the google thing already. If you can figure this thing out that would be great. I tried hooking it up to the ignition, and the battery and neither worked. I will probably try again one day but having the extra dvd player just keeps the frustration out of it. Thanks

    59.jpg

I am sure you guys have done this already but I got the front bumper for free. It came off of a CRX with the ZC motor (all hondas here are actually JDM models just LHD) The lip was an easy install. Cut the tabs off of it and screw it on. Used a heat gun to help it bend a little but no cutting of the ends. Nine screws and 10 minutes. Quick and easy. Not a huge cosmetic mod but for free what the hell.

i like the accord lip better. its more low pro to me
  • ragenasianragenasian Moderator
Yeah I would have liked to have had a lower profile also but free is free. I am still looking for another lip if it is cheap. I have more important things to buy, like a bigger turbo for my other car
  • duckie8310duckie8310 Senior Wagonist
haha true about the free thing. i think i bought the accord lip from a place for about $30.
  • ragenasianragenasian Moderator
I am wanting a new lip but no sense in putting a lower profile lip with the SUV look going. When I get the TEINS and drop it a little then I will start looking for another lip.

I did finally get my AEM intake. It is looking quite nice under the hood.

  • try some headers if you didn't do that already. i think you'll like it.
  • ragenasianragenasian Moderator
That is next on the list trust me. I am going the 4-1 stainless route though. I heard there are some problems with the 4-2-1's hitting. So the 4-1 headers, test-pipe, and a custom muffler. I already have an otto-r fart can and it is going to be mounted straight through with out all the bends. I figured this would be a lot easier to mount up this way and better flow. This will get rid of two 90 degree bends. I am also considering in the next couple of months a zc swap or sticking the sohc vtec head on the car. Don't know which way I will go yet.
  • HaydzHaydz Moderator
Go with the whole SOHC VTEC ZC engine, that way you won't have to machine the valve reliefs into the pistons and you'll have the advantage of OBD1 for tuning. :D
  • ragenasianragenasian Moderator
What about the DOHC ZC? Those were the only one offered in the CRX's here so I can get them for a couple of hundred bucks.
  • HaydzHaydz Moderator
Yeah but a SOHC VTEC ZC will offer OBD1 which gives far more tuning options. The D15B, DOHC ZC and the B16A were the engines offered in Japanese CRX's and we get all of those here...

Don't get me wrong i love my DOHC ZC but i'd love to add a Hondata ECU into the mix... :D

There are OBD1 DOHC ZC's which came in the NZDM/ADM Anniversary Edition EG Civic GTi, but its hard to come across them. Hence why Americans go gaga when you mention 'P29'... ;)

I got my DOHC ZC for $400 NZD and the SOHC VTEC ZC was $550 NZD at the time. But that doesn't matter because i've got another swap planned for my EF5.
  • ragenasianragenasian Moderator
Well the plans for the wagon aren't as extravigant as that. I was unaware of another ZC motor as sometimes the motor names are a little different here. Just like the D16a6 is called a D16Z2 here. This SOHC VTEC ZC wouldn't be the motor offered in the 92-95 hondas would it?

I heard that the DOHC ZC was a straight drop in and it can use all the existing hardware. Since the wagon is the daily driver I can't have any down time on it. I just want to add a little more performance to it and make it a little faster for the autobahn here.
  • ragenasian wrote:

    nope.
no problems with mine..and my ride is lowered with coilovers.

i have more of an issue with the bottom plastic shields, but DC Sports headers don't bottom out..at least not for me.
  • HaydzHaydz Moderator
4-2-1's will work fine on FWD but not RT4WD.

Indeed the DOHC ZC is direct bolt in so sounds like its your best bet. I have a thread in the engine and drivetrain section detailing this.
