What??? the DOHC ZC is very much the same as a D16A1... D16A1 will bolt up to RT trans, you will have to chop off the top bolt of the rear T mount and use driver side mounts for a typical ZC swap.
I guess I'm mistaken I tried bolting up a D16a1 transmission to a D16a6 and No go
Correct. 1st gen integra Trans (CG) shares the same bellhousing bolt pattern as a D series RT AWD trans. The D16A1 transmisision has also been bolted up to a sohc D series A6/Z6, etc.... but is not a bolt on deal: http://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=2276278
Edit: I think i may be misinformed about the 88+ RT bellhousing.... I'm very used to dealing with my early 86 solid axle, D16A1 block bolts up to my trans no problem. Someone correct me if i'm wrong regarding later RTAWD bellhousing compatibility with DOHC ZC/SOHC ZC.
First Gen wagon trans (85-87) 4x4 and RTawd bolts up fine to D16A1.
