the actual set up can be basically any thing you can throw together ive seen horrible stuff work great but tuning is the key just make sure you know why something does something and what perimaters need met
ie. fuel to boost how much boost is safe ... id say 5-7 lbs reliable happy boost make sure your waste gate is good and working properly boost spikes seem to be the number one killer of a homebrew or low budget kit
turbos are surrounded by tons of hocus pocus bullshit do your homework and make sure it comes from reliable sources go on honda tech they have about 7,000 pages of turbo crap ....

do i have to drop the oil pan for the return from the turbo?
Their new system kicks a$$...no more chip burning and datalogging included in the regular price (around $500). But it only supports obd-1. It would be worth it though. I'm seriously considering doing an obd-0 to 1 migration on my CRX to run this ecu.
Zdyne supports obd-0 and was/is nice...just expensive. Actually, they lowered their prices to be competitive with Hondatas new stuff. But they quit improving/releasing new product 5+ years ago. So as long as it does exactly what you need it do in this current form(no datalogging), its a viable product. Tech support consists of one guy, who is really nice and does what I'm sure is his best, but tends to overpromise.
You do have the option of the "free" products...Turboedit and chip burning, but its rather technical and requires about $300 in equipment.
But if I'm telling you this, and no offense meant here, this is probably not the route for you to go because as I said earlier, its very technical and involves buying special equipment.
All of your chip burning questions can be answered at pgmfi.org
Whether or not you understand all of it (I don't), remains to be seen.
