Thanks for the kind words! I detailed it before I took those pics. I picked up some stuff called "Back to Black" from Mothers that works well on the bumpers and all the black plastic trim. You have to use a $hit load of it to make it really work, but it makes the car look like new. I'm pretty sure its been in So Cal its entire life. Too bad its auto though. The kicker is I picked it up for only $700.

 The FAST way I do the bumpers is=Armour-All.I use a piece of old cardboard so I don't spray the paint. It looks like new.I like the Black bumpers better than the painted 1's.

I threw on a cheap set of coil overs just to lower it.

Since its a "Coil over" kit, adjustable threaded collar and spring, all i did was max the height of the collar.
Its all still riding on the stock shocks.

I remember the feeling when I first dropped my wagon from stock height. I bet is a lot of fun to drive now. Huh?

Thanks! Yeah, living is So Cal is nice, can pick up some clean cars here. I'm either going to put on some white 16" Lensos or some graphite multi-spoke 15" or 17" I have laying around.

Not sure if I'm going to throw any more money at this thing until I get my other projects sorted out. But will have to keep your ID handy so I can get a hold of you if I swap to manual trans.

My wagon is a '90, same color as yours. Your pics have got me interested in changing the wheels/tires from the stock ones. What will happen to my gas mileage? I am stock 5sp.

What was the result of the track experience?
  • evil510evil510 Band Wagon
Sorry I haven't checked these forums for awhile. Gas mileage change will be small if you keep the overall diameter close to stock. I beat on my car so its not a big concern. 26 MPG beats my 99' 'lude by a long shot, and its alot more fun (well in some ways).

Check out the motosports section for info on my track experience.
