Anybody NOT rolling on coilovers?

If you have traditional, progressive-rate lowering-springs, please post what springs and struts you are using. Pics would be very helpful, too. Seems like everybody has coilovers, but I don't want that. I just want a mild sport spring for daily driving.

thanks in advance

I would love to see pics... I'm afraid that the back will be too low if I use CRX springs...

I'm using Lightspeed 27mm torsion rods with Koni reds on the front.
On the rear of my wagon is a Suspension Techniques '93 Accord front spring. Then I cut out a couple coils. The rear shocks are just Monroe. Of course, I'm at the other end of the spectrum. I'd love coilovers but the 84-87 setup doesn't lend itself very well.

:? The reason it's too low is you need to run rear non-Wgn shocks(like CRX, or HB or Sdn.).

Thanks for the comment, but my setup is completely stock at the moment. I plan to do one of two things... all new stock springs and struts or EF struts with some sort of springs(not coilovers). It seems to me that crx springs wouldn't hold the weight of a wagon... especially a loaded wagon. Also, I haven't been able to find pics of a wagon that isn't stock or on coilovers...

The stock shocks on your wgn are actually a very good handling shock.Forget new stock springs(too much $$$).Stock springs rarely go bad & new stock springs usually ride higher till they settle over time.Forget about new stock shocks...for the $$$ get a set of good shocks like Tokico's.I tune race cars.I got a Eibach spring for this car.It was the funniest thing. The spring rates were the same. The only difference was the Eibachs were shorter.I never heard any1 that even notice it.I've never told any1 either.

I don't think it'll be a prob 'cuz aftmrkt springs are usually higher in the rear.A lot of peeps put too much attention on the weight. If you buy a aftmrkt spring it's listed for the 88-91 CRX,HB &Sdn.If the weight was such a big thing there would be 12 different springs. It's important if your in PRO Racing where you'll find different springs, shocks & alignment specs for different tracks. The weight difference between a CRX & a EX Civc Sdn is 300-500 pounds(130-230 kilos) difference.I can find you a Wgn(&HB) that is lighter than aCRX. Coilovers are fine for the track, but I like Progressive springs for the street.

 Heck!Somebody else here used Teg springs w/a few coils cut off too.

I am going to be installing the ST Shock and spring combo soon, Ill let everyone know how it works out. I have NuSpeed springs right now, and I can't stand them. They came on the wagon when I got it.

Hey man, take a picture to document how it sits before you do the change. Also, why don't you like them? Too sitff? Too low?

    Basically they suck.

The springs drop the car way too far, and they are sagging like crazy. I dont like the spring design itself, and they are rediculusy soft.

Note, I have NO idea how old the springs really are, as they were on the car when I got it. Springs however should not be sagging after a couple years use, which is what these look like they are. As well the shocks on this car suck, so those are going out the window and are part of the problem as well.

Ill get some pics when I can, and hopefully I can get the new system on shortly.
