Rear brake shoe time!

Time for rear brake shoes on my wagon. Does anybody have any recommendations pro or con? I just want to get something decent that will work well. No high performance needs to worry about. Somebody I know said to try Centric shoes. I have never heard of them?

I think when it comes to rear brake, brake shoes are brake shoes. Rear brakes have a smaller role in the braking than the fronts so I would say a decent name brand thats cheap would work for rears.

ya, what he said. as far as rear brakes go, get the cheapest ones you can find. very little braking done in the rear.

Where ever you get them, make sure they understand it's for the dx wagon and not the dx sedan. They have different sized drums/shoes.

I disagree that a "brake shoe is a brake shoe". Poorly manufactured shoes either fail, wear quickly, perform poorly, make noise, fit like shit or all of the above. It's a pain in the ass changing them out. Buy high quality (I'm not saying high performance) and you wont have to do it as often.

I recommend NAPA UP (ultra premium). They are Japanese made shoes. I can get back to you on part number, price and manufacturer when I get home.

Speaking of rear brakes, anyone find a reliable source for drums?
