Engine miss and low idle sputter

My engine started missing recently while acellerating, around a week later the idle went much lower. less than 500. It almost died a couple of times I had to press the gas to keep it going. HELP! Could it be a fuel pump or filter? Electric. I just don't know where to start. Car has 217000 on it so I do work myself.

    well if its missing might be plugs or wires ? whens the last time you di full tune up plugs, cap, rotor, and plug wires?

    obviously it could be a number of things, here's what my checklist would be...

    - pull the passenger side foot carpet up to see the ECU (big goldish box covered by a plate)
    - start the car and see if the red light on the ECU starts blinking.
    *if it does start blinking, check the codes online, do a search about honda ecu codes
    my guess is your throttle position sensor (TPS) is broken.
    - try a working distributor, 75% of honda's don't run right because of the dizzy.

    MOST of the time a fuel pump either works or doesn't work.

    I have had the car for about 10000 miles. The wires and cap look newer but I have not changed anything more than the oil.

    It has flashed a code 1 and 20. The O2 sensor is locked on and won't budge. Electric load is something else altogether. I havent checked the codes in awhile though. It seems to miss more when hot and has not missed at highway speeds. idk if this helps.

    hmmmm funny... i am getting the electronic load code as well and i am getting hesitation while trying to maintain speed between 30-50.
