Oil Pan Q's

Any suggestions (asides from getting a new pan unless its local and cheap lol) to cleaning the oil pan? Its pretty bad(I blew my head gasket), I have been using some pretty rough sand paper and have been making progress its just so time consuming... A buddy told me that I could take it to a tranny shop and have them dip it in there solvet*(sp) tank, anyone know if this is accurate?

Are you cleaning the gunk out of the inside part of it? I'd soak it in brake cleaner / carb cleaner [whichever you have available or is cheaper] and scrub it with a scotch pad or something like that. If that doesn't do it, a little SeaFoam and elbow grease with a scotch pad should get it looking really nice.

Should all that fail, find a friend with a solvent cleaner or a steam cleaner, and go nuts.
