I've been looking at the engine, and i think it's just a d15y carbed....Does this mean the tranny would hook up to a normal D-series engine?
Does anyone know how much of a chassis difference there is between the 86's and an 89??

serious differences, that d-series is really a grown up ew-series, you might find somtin that will fit but mostly nuts and bolts! transmission wants to bolt up but it wont, just like d16a1 teg type trans, wants to but sorry. anyway why would you want anything to do with parts from this car? i know it seems like a great project but it be like reinvention of the wheel in a 4th gen wagon. tell you 1 thing a 1st gen crv is more related than 3rd gen wagon (to a point)
sorry my friend :?
Engine bolts up to D16A1/ZC... but you have to cut the top bolt hole off the rear mount. Will not bolt up to a standard D series.... the EW1 block out of this car is worth something to SCCA racers/others... since they can use the 1st gen integra transmission, intermediate shaft... etc and keep the EW1 badged block for the rulebook.
Just curious, but where is it located??? I need a few parts. :P
>.< well the tranny seems fine, bah. nothing is ever simple LOL
anyone need any parts off an 86 4wd manual? (blue..or gray...cant remember)
Edit: Also if you could get the 4x4 button and like a foot of the wiring with the plug that would be gangster. I wanna retrofit it and have it control nitrous or something
I'm looking for a good header pannel. Well, and a few other big things that wouldn't be worth your effort.
I didn't take a good look at it, I was looking for a 4th gen, but the funny thing was I did notice a 4th gen passenger side mirror rather crudely bolted to it.
