greetings from Mass

hello everyone, m name is Rob and i <3 my wagon.
im semi new to the forum(i trolled for research before i got my wagon and started posting)

well i got my wagon from a dude who had esentialy abandoned it at a garage in town for $250.
and now im waist deep in parts i need to put in it. including and not limited to a vtec OBD-1 conversion.

HCW.com is teh shiznit. all of my research starts here because there is so much info on JUST the wagon unlike D-series or Honda Tech, not to say they dont have their uses.

Howdy! Been out in your area a bit - I went to North Adams State (now MCLA) with a friend from Northampton.

Yes, this site is awesome. So much about the wagons is different than the EF that it's well worth having its own site. Good luck with your ride - sounds like an awesome project.
  • thanks guys for the warm welcome!
i just bought a new camera so ill be shooting some freshie pics soon. its mud season here so my wagon will be a bit muddy.

    Love the shift knob. :D
  • Yeah that shift knob gives your wagon that VIP style or the feel of a early 1900's house
  • i could swear i saw abe lincoln in there

    its this or either

i like your knob, but thats so corny

That beats the 8 ball shift knob I had in my 91 FWD wagon. And I think I have those same fog lights! Nice ride, both of them. Just need a little bodywork, and drop a 4AGE into the Yota. Look up the thread I posted about repainting stock RT4WD wheels. Yours would benefit from a repaint (your choice of colors - the stock white actually isn't bad with your light blue) and it's super wicked easy to do.
  • yeah...def...
the best part of that last picture...
    ...is blue...
and that's just half of it

  • That shift know is ridiculous, I love it. It's cool when people use other things for shift knobs, like beer keg handles, door knobs and shit
  • i know that my wheels are in need of a sandblasting and repainting. my buddy works at the body shop across the street from the garage i work at, he is the painter there and has free access to body shop after hours.
i have a main black color and a white accent design.

i have another door knob identical to mine but its white glass. im gonna put it in my old EG8 sedan that has had quite the trip after i sold it to my old house mate. well she jumped a tooth or 2 on the timing belt and was told by the mechanic that all of the valves were bent and the motor was junk. well i find it at the local mini car dealer in the area being that it got traded in. so i inform my girlfriend cause she wished she could have bought the car off me when i sold it, she came down and bought it off the dealer cause i know him for 1k including a replacement d16y7 that they were going to sell for 1800 to someone else after they put the motor in. so in short my sedan is back! (but its not mine)

i just got my corolla running again after i rebuilt the carb. i think its burning coolant. so i need to do a head gasket and timing belt and see what else i need while im in there. i wish i could aford a 4age 20 valve but i have other thoughts on say a carbed 13b or a f20c. (pipe dreams at the moment)
  • well, they say ...
    time is everything ...
    sometimes i wish
    i was not that happy

Sad to hear the Ae86 was sold. I have been offered pretty good money for both of mine but after years of searching for them here is where they will stay.

Now lets see how that money is going to be spent on that wagon 8)
  • well just recently i fixed up some of the body work on the drivers side, and put in some HIDs. just yesterday i replaced my broken front springs and installed my skunk2 front camber kit. pic are in my build thread if you would like to see them.
now i have to do the pass side body work and get (inspected <--(lame)). i now have an engine stand so that i can start building my A6/Z6 motor.
just the other day my clutch release bearing started making all kinds of noise so i have to get that taken care of, i ordered the parts but dont know when ill have the time to drop the tranny to get it done.
i also have $150 worth of rear diff mounts and bushings that i have to find time to install.
i have no idea when thats going to get done.
  • what kind of wheels are on that AE
  • i dont remember. i dont have it anymore though i sold it a few months ago cause i couldnt afford 2 projects.
