Help i need tires.

Okay heres the story. 91rt, hopefully on 15x8.
Only one problem, im in nebraska so if you go to the wheel shops around here and ask about stretch they look at you with the most blank stare. Its dropped... more. top hats and what not rubbing is not a problem. I want to know what size and brands will stretch best. Thanks guys

    I've run 195/45/15's on a slammed vw van. They look sweet. They ride like shit! There's no meat to soak up any bumps.
    Mabey I'm getting, but I wouldn't want to daily drive them.
    If the roads suck where you live I would think it would be pretty easy to bend a rim running such a minimal tire.

    oh crap... I am getting old! I used to just scrape around, sparks flying, not caring.

    Who the hell makes a 195-45-15? That sounds like a size Id be interested in.

    When you go in, dont throw terms like "stretching" at them. Just tell them you want these tires on these rims. If they say something to the extent of these rims are too wide for those tires, tell them youve done it in the past numorous times with no ill effects. When dealing with places that have no performance minded employees or direction in the company, just use simpleton terms. Its a lot easier on both you and the shop personel.

    That being said, I exclusivly run the 205-50-15 Nitto Neo Gens for the daily. They are really wide tires for a 205 and ride prety good. The main attraction is the way the tires are built. The inner tread block is a higher treadwear compound and is one block instead of individual blocks the full circumference. They are designed for cars with negative camber and they wear extremely well for cars that are camber impared. Just an example, we ran our EX sedan for 2 years with 3.5 degrees of camber in front and 2.5 in the rear with those tires and had absolutly zero irregular wear. Granted, the toe on the car was spot on and that makes a huge difference. Alignments are always key.

    yeah ive read about ppl runnin those, thanks. I tried the old just put em on there trick, it ended with "its a liability issue. I guess alittle brake cleaner and compressed air will have to do the trick.
    Has any one tried the invo by nitto? they look sick.

    I run 195/50 on my 15x7"

    A mate of mine runs 195/50 on his 15x8", not much stretch. On his other rims he has 165/50 on a 15x8" :o
