Nah not minor adjustments. It needs a bit of hacking. Just for future searchers - there are no cat-back exhust systems known to fit on a wagon with little/no modification.
  • how BIG is the modification to get a hatch or crx cat-back to fit... and what part needs to be modi??? ie the muffler it self, or just the hangers? or the way it bolts to the cat? etc..

I think it's the hangers and the way it negotiates the LCA. Someone else should be able to confirm i'm pretty sure this has been discussed.

There are no PERFORMANCE cat-back exhausts for the wagon. Bosal makes a good stock replacement. Bolts right up, no trouble at all. But for anything bigger and better than stock you're looking at a custom job.

Ive tried making exhausts from crxs fit on hatchs, integra on crxs and the like and its always more hassel than its worth. Start from scratch and do it the right way.

^ he's right if you're talking about BUYING something and then trying to make it fit. If you're modding something you have laying around, it may be worth your time. I fit the whole exhaust system from my '92 Integra parts car onto my wagon, wasn't hard at all. Of course, this assumes you have a welder and know what to do with it...

As Haydz said, the most obvious difference is that the wago exhausts run under the RR LCA, while all the others go above it- thru the "window". Unless your car is 4wd, you can go thru there, too.

i had the exhaust made for my car. had it rerouted to go through the "window" above the LR LCA. i like the way it turned out and am glad i didnt half-ass something....

lets see, i have an HKS full-catback for a hatchback, and i tried test fitting it on the wagon. basically, the part around the LCA was a NO-GO at all, also it was about 2 inches too short at the cat  anyways, i will custom fabbing this exhaust system up soon enough to the wagon, will require some cutting and welding and a little extra pipe but i can see it being very nice in the end.

    overall doesnt look too hard

Does anyone have any pictures of a wagon exhaust? MEaning either the full exhaust sitting on the floor or maybe a shot from underneath while it's on lift or something?

I ordered an oem rtawd duel tip exhaust. Was like 120$ from cheapexhaust.com. I am making a straight pipe for my Garrett turbo setup on my dohc zc...
  • my friend used a greddy exhaust with a spoon n1 axel back and all he had to do was cut the hangers it was off a eg hatch
    hope this is helpfull
  • why hasn't any of the 2wd wagoners route the exhaust through the subframe? thats what i want to do...ake it look like buddy club spec II

Once my current muffler wears through I will be doing that, straight pipe all the way from the header to the tank, then slight kink to come out the factory location, hopefully get a bit more ground clearance that way
