i think you should do the beagle paint scheme black on top/ tan on bottom though to match the interior!

Alright bam, does this mean pebble's wagon gets a perspex roof? I'd say it would be pretty easy. ;)

im thinking about going all black... im having enough trouble putting my 91 grey interior into my brown 88... SIGH gutting wagons suck! not hard.. just annoying... especially when the cars arnt next toeachother... LOL anyways... glasstop would be very interesting... too much weight for such a large roof.

If you do go black and you use some sort of spray don't get anything with a gloss. You won't be able to see through the windshield because of the glare off the dash.

I'd personally pull the interior parts and wrap then in some kind of black material. Maybe even using a similar method to the guys that changed their headliners.

yeah i was thinkin that. the door panels would have to be rewrapped anyways.. and ive already experimented with the SEM vynel dye, because ive heard sooo much good stuff about it, how it last how it doesnt fade or crack even in 100 degree weather in florida... and how its done... it actually turns out pretty OEM. the color i mean.. it doenst look bad at all, but u have to watch it because if you scratch it... its done for.. so i might just keep the grey for a little while...

That is one sick ass crx. did they use it in the jap version of smokey and the bandit

Edit: PS. its odd that a CRX SI wouldnt have fog lights. but it makes up for it with the jdm rear seat.

I'm not a fan, but I'm not a fan of tan interiors in general. Didn't like the ones in my Saturn SL2s, either. I'm also not much for luxury packages in a car like the CRX, either. Much of the reason it performs as well as it does is that it's lightweight. All those fancy option packages add a lot of weight, which kind of defeats the purpose of the car. I feel the same way about Miatas, too, which is why the only options on mine are alloy wheels (lighter) and power steering (not necessary, but a quicker steering ratio for autocross, and useful with sticky tires).

Just my opinion, nothing more. :)

As far as a wagon, I could actually see that working better than on a CRX. The RT4WD wagon is already the top of the line version. How about a model above that with RT4WD plus all the luxury stuff? It might start stepping on the Accord's toes at that point...

Stop being lazy and spell out Japanese. I am Japanese and find this to be very offensive.

very very good opinion. that is very true.. but i guess thats why they only made like 300 of them or something... the extra weight does kind of defeat the purpose of the car, but then again with the weight its still a pretty light car. and i kinda DO like to see a small light sporty car with a little taste of luxury class..

i DO agree that the wagon will be a MUCH better fit than a crx. i DO think it will look nice. the problem i have is which way i want to go. a wagon is such a utility/multi-purpose kind of car, thats it nice to see one with a lot of class and also one that is sporty. so with the interior tan will be a good way to go and for sport black will be a good way to go.

BTW i WILL be putting up a DIY HOW TO dye your interior plastics and vinyl interior. there is a pretty extensive discussion on honda-tech and i used that to test my first piece on a wagon. i am just experimenting on different approaches and finishes and also just my painting skills because i have NEVER done something like this before..

oh and PS i love miatas!!
  • I love it, My wagon already has tan interior so if it was leather like that.....I would so be even more the man, oh yeah.
