---Now the rest he sent me tonight. I'm REALLY pleased with them.

Just two for now, he's got a lot more, but I'm waiting for him to upload them.
Here is one of his clean ass hatch.

Added two more of his car so you don't just catch the front.

  • Shiny windows.

I never saw the appeal of that tan color, but it looks pretty clean.

Incidentally, what's wrong with your hatch? It looks like it's 1/4" too high, or partly open or something.

Pretty decent snaps. I'd suggest a CP filter to get some of the paint/window reflections under control as they're a little distracting in the wagon shots.

Good composition on the hatch shot but I wish it were more of a 3/4 shot since I'm pretty much looking at the front end with a dash of wheels.

    :D

I'll get a better picture or two of his car. My car's hatch has the rubber bushings turned so they stop squeaking really bad and that's how it leaves the alignment. I need to get some off of a junk car, mine are a little dry rotted.
  • Looks good Rev!

ummm, you know I've got extras, right? On both of my cars, I've adjusted the striker on the hatch to resolve the squeaking issue. You can only back those stops out so far before your hatch gets stupid hard to shut.

I figure you have more, I wasn't worried about it too much, just telling him why the hatch sits that way. But I should definitely grab a set from ya.
  • Is that how you do it?!? The squeaking has been driving me nuts!

Closing my hatch is a pain, because it's so very solid. It seems like sometimes it just bounces off; there's no spring, no travel. I expect about 1/2" of travel between first contact and latching, but the Wagon hatch feels like there's no travel at all. I thought I'd adjust the striker plate, but both halves appear to be unmodifiable, with no elongated holes for adjustment.

Maybe I'll take another look at it sometime. Meanwhile, I completely understand how you would trade hatch alignment for quiet! And your Wagon still looks great.

The part on the hatch is adjustable. Note the position relative to the "crosshairs" stamped in the sheetmetal before you start moving it, just so you'll have a baseline.

No, I think they're MR2 wheels or something...
  • RevmaynardRevmaynard Council Member
They're first gen MR2 rims machined to fit with Honda center caps. I do have a pair of polished 92's though.

Revmayo, you have (4) things to do:

    1. drop wagon 2-3 more inches. :P
    2. add front lip. :!:
    3. get enkei's onto the wagon. :!:
    4. get friend to take more pictures. 8)
  • RevmaynardRevmaynard Council Member
Apparently someone hasn't be looking at my build thread lately. lolz

I've got the front lip on, about to do a rear. Added fogs, and an oem rack. Waiting to get two tires to mount the Enkei's, and I wish I could lower more but my rear is slammed already. :(
