lowering a RT4wd

i have a 91 RT4wd.. i tried using 88-91 lowering springs but they made it way to low in the rear, so its currently sitting on coilover.. needless to say they are a little rough.. i want to lower it on something a little more comfortable..

whats do i use.. will 90-93 integra lowering springs work.. or 88-91 civic hatchback stock springs..

i feel the wagon spring are taller.. so would any of these drop it?

  • how low??? ... ef springs will give you 2-3 inch drop but may be too soft.

you could also use the lowering springs you have with the addition of an ef shock. the only reason yours is too low in the rear is because of the rt4wd shock, the perch is 2 inches lower so an ef shock would raise the back another 2 inches (i havent measured but its around 2")

for the layman: slap an ef shock in therr n' she'll be right where ya want her.

if you want more damping go with aftermarket shocks and struts for ef civic 89-91

and if you havent got a rear swaybar yet then start saving up for one right now. its the single most beneficial suspension mod you can make, and for the price, it doesn't make sense not to get one
  • Run Integra rear LCA's because they have the bolt holes to mount a rear sway bar. And Civic/Crx struts will do the trick.
