5th pic down - is that scarring on the cylinder wall, or an optical illusion?

Also why did you pull the head?

what he said. Did your compression test show one or more cylinders out-of-spec?

5th pic down, word. must be an illusion, because the cylinders are pretty damn nice in real life.

i have a friend bringing me a new head, and also i got a new head gasket so we decided to go ahead and do it anyways.

looks like the factory cross hone is still there. thats pretty nice. With the head your getting you may want to clean up the combustion chambers up so there not looking like your old head.
  • Did you check compression before you tore the head off?

He's not saying - maybe he doesn't want to admit to tearing down the whole motor without checking that first...
  • who cares id do the same thing, the motor was running like garb after the boost and id want to see what it did inside my motor as well. honda motors are very weak and boosted ones are even weaker. honda only put out 2 turbo motors for production as far as ive ever seen, D12 City turbo II 1.2L 110hp and acura RDX turbo SH model. any more anyone know about id love to know. but even those i dont think id push the limits to far  anyway hondas answer to boost was vtec, and as much as i love the sound of blow off and waste gate i just dont think id want to play boost anymore on a Hmotor without full sleeved and forged bottom and guess what? that cost big bucks!!!! :(

Not a car but Honda and turbo... And still pretty bad ass. I think it's a DOHC but don't hold me to that one.

There were two different Citys that were turbo, one was EFi and the other was carb and neither were d-series AFAIK. There is also a a 1990 Honda Legend V6 Turbo. Its a J20 V6 with a single turbo spooled by only three cylinders going into a compact intercooler.

Those are the only ones in the JDM line that we get. We don't get Acuras but i doubt we're missing out on much.

yes they did make a jet ski that was turbo i think that was 1.2L as well and vtec as far as i remember. but i was mainly talking about auto's that you can rack up more than 100k miles and reliable

and we got a mugen 1st gen crx from what ive heard, but i have yet to see one of those
