Conversion harnesses make this incredibly easy.
Spend $100 and it will save you hours of headaches.

We wired up a Boomslang conversion harness on a mini-me so it could use a P28 ecu...it took about an hour and worked like a charm. {edit} Before that sounds misleading, we already had the car in a million pieces. It took an hour from the time we started with the harness. Figure more like three hours, if you're starting from just putting the hood up.

The problem with ordering a second gen B16 lies in the tranny that comes with it. Hydraulic.
You'll need a cable tranny(unless you use the expensive hydro specific Hasport mounts)

    The short answer is:
Yes, the 1st gen cable B-series tranny will bolt to a later B16."

    The long answer is:
Try to find a loose JDM B16 cable tranny in decent condition is hard and expensive.
The only USDM options are the 90-93 LS tranny and the ultra rare 92-93 GS-R. The LS tranny will work, but the gearing is really too long for the B16 to see optimal performance. The GS-R is great but even harder to find.
