Parking lot fun

My gf wanted me to get a feel for how her Highlander on its new snow tires feels in the slippery stuff. It's frickin BORING! The tires grip great, and every time I want to pitch it around a little, all the electronic nannys bring the thing to a stop.
After the drive, I wanted to go have some fun. So I grabbed my wagon, my camera, and did this:

I feel MUCH better now.

Put your girl to work and get some action shots!
I also shot a little bit with my windshield suction cup mount, but from that view you don't really get the sense of drifting the way you do with an exterior shot. If I stuck the cam to the side of the car it probably would've gotten ruined by blowing snow.
I had a roll-cage mount for about a month. Before I lent it to the wrong friend
Paying for a nice mount is worth it IMHO... problem is my camera got jacked about a year ago
Get what you can, when ya can. Anything is fun!
I know exactly what you mean about the Highlander's granny control. My 'other car' is a Hybrid Camry and it's got the same crap...right when it starts to slip, it just gulps and cuts the gas. Couldn't have any fun if I wanted to.
The worst thing about the granny control is you can't turn it off! Best you can do is go into "Snow ECT," which allows just a little bit of slippage but not much. There are reasons why when Audi first introduced ABS in the 80s, they put a switch on the dashboard to turn it off. They knew that under certain adverse conditions a bit of sliding is actually better. I live on a steep hill, and a couple of times in snow the Highlander's ABS has caused me to miss the driveway!
