Im running ST sways from my Integra on my wagon. The back is a little on the small side, but it will make a huge difference compared to the nothing it comes with.

Pics please, and details if modifications are required. I'm very interested in making the new RT a little more confidence inspiring in the twisties.

The front was a direct swap for me, and the rear is pretty much covered here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2803

The only difference between what that gentleman did and myself was that I spaced it down a little farther and moved it forward so I could use the stock endlinks. Sorry, I dont have any good pix.
  • If anyone's looking, I have 2 ST 22mm EF rear complete sway bar kits for sale. Both used, one a little more than the other, but both in good to great condition.
  • Don't know if this will work for you rt4wd guys, but on my Wagovan, a regular Civic/CRX rear ST bar pretty much bolts right up. It's a little bit ghetto, though.

You have to mount the bar to the back of the brackets instead of the front. Also, the brackets that mount to the struts need to attach on the back side instead of the front. The bar passes very close to the rear crossmember, so it might interfere with the 4x4 rear end. (I don't know)

WARNING: If you jack up the car so that the rear suspension is allowed to fully extend on both sides, BE CAREFUL when you let the car back down again. Instead of the bar folding upright into position, it might fold downwards and could dig into the ground (not good). I almost let this happen. I have to let the tires touch the ground and then push the bar up before I let the car all the way down. I'm wondering how I can strap up the rear suspension so it can't extend as far...

Another possible problem is that the endlinks are somewhat angled. They could be at much more of an angle before the heim joints bind up, so I'm not too worried.

no more body roll, FTW! I haven't autocrossed it yet, but it feels like oversteer might be a problem.

the Blox bushings aren't the best... looks like they are oem size, so I'm going to try replacing them at some point
  • I forgot to add:

Where the bar gets close to the fender wells, I had to "modify" the sheet metal with a hammer.

    the other side

  • thanks guys, this stuff looks pretty helpful. I'm goin to try and make the oem DA sedan rear bar I have work first. If that isn't enough we'll go bigger, but i'm already having oversteer issues the last couple days, may be due to the ICE covered roads and redline happy right foot, i'm not sure

Oversteer is always a better problem than understeer. Throttle usually fixes whatever "problems" you may have pretty good ;)
