So my cheap ss manifold wont work easily in this bay, even with the half size radiator :?
Never mind, I've got another kit I've found but someone is looking at it this weekend because I was to slow. With a bit of luck i'll be able to buy it.

Yes one like that, shipping to New Zealand won't be fun though. I'm hoping to find one locally

After the mounts going well in the blue shuttle. I've decided i'll pull the diff mounts and have a go at solid filling them as they are probably buggered and it was making odd noises
  • rti intracrti intrac Senior Wagonist
Got a couple of gauges for this, just need to mount them. Have ordered a midwing so that'll turn up in a few weeks. My gasket set should be here soon so I need to pull finger and notch the block so can get the vitaras and rods in. Then reassemble the head haha. then find/make a manifold etc.
  • rti intracrti intrac Senior Wagonist
My gasket set arrived so now all I have to do is notch the block and get the engine assembled. Got a track and trace number for the mid-wing so now I can check it and get excited when its close. On the hunt for a bra when I have some more spare $$

I have/had more pics of this progress but lost the post stole this from another forum. finally got a free weekend coming up so will crack into it and get the wiring done hopefully. I have welded up the rear section of the exhaust, just need another bend to get the pipe up to the engine.

Finally finished the prelude front brakes and got some exhaust stuff today, just need to piece it all together and figure out how it will fit around diff/driveshaft

Yes they are rusty, thats how long its taken me. I will clean them up before I drive it in anger

    FINALLY bro!
  • rti intracrti intrac Senior Wagonist
Got the drivers side recaro mounted into my other shuttle for testing. I've misplaced my camera again so no pics at the moment
  • rti intracrti intrac Senior Wagonist
Still no sign of the camera, I christened my die grinder this weekend and matched the intake manifold to the h22 throttle body. Been busy sorting out my other shuttle getting it ready for its new home
  • rti intracrti intrac Senior Wagonist
Still no photos. I picked up a flange and some gaskets so I can start figuring out where the turbo is going to sit.
Down to one shuttle again as another member here has bought it. Now I have no choice but to work on it
  • I really, really like this thread. :smug: Glad you're staying D series with the Intrac!
  • rti intracrti intrac Senior Wagonist
thanks, Its too hard/too much money going B series.

Yet another pictureless update. Dropped my midwing and facelift bumper off to the painters today so will have some nice visual progress this time next week

Pics or it didn't happen, lol! I'm sorry you lost your camera. It just struck me funny to see four posts in a row with no camera/pics. I'd like to see what you're up to!

    Finally pics!
Dropped my crv wind, mid wing and facelift bumper off to the painters last week and got them back yesterday. Test fitted them to see how it looks and pretty happy. Midwing will have a couple more bolts holding it in so will sit a bit nicer. Also found a non ac vent so I can finally finish my ducting.
I've turned the turbo outlet housing around so it actually sits where I want it now. Just need to find/mount the wastegate actuator now. I'll either rangi up a bracket or get someone to weld up soem nuts on the housing
    389.jpg
    Quick one of recaro
    390.jpg
    Mid wing etc dummied up
    391.jpg
Front bumper - I need to get another bumper support so it sits nicely
    392.jpg
    Gaskets and stuff
    393.jpg
I was going to make a adaptor to suit my turbo but since have found a adaptor on ebay which will do nicely.

    862.jpg

Have you fitted these yet, or would it be possible to take some more picture of the left hand side one, from the other side that you cannot see in that picture.
    These are the innovative mounts?
Trying to see how much bracing is on the back side of the trans mount.

    Thanks.

not yet, I'll try find them in my mess and get the pic for you. I think they are innovative mounts.
No more spending money on this for a while now, I've quit my job (feel so much better for it) and will be havein a few weeks sanity break before job hunting. I might actually finish my loom etc now

good on you bro. ull find somewhere better with ur awesome skills :)
  • rti intracrti intrac Senior Wagonist
I finished grinding the manifold to suit the h22 throttlebody. Now I need to clean the manifold of shavings etc, So I need a parts wash. Since I am a scrooge I decided to make one. I got a 44 gallon drum for cheap and got given a whole lot of steel.
    149.jpg

I dont trust my welding skills or lack there of haha so left a lip on the steel to support it
    150.jpg

    All welded up

  • rti intracrti intrac Senior Wagonist
    All done, Drum on
    155.jpg

Cut the drum in half and welded some brackets on the side so it doesn't turn
