lack of power idle - 3k rpm

I have just swapped a D16a (same as d16z6 but jdm) into my rt4wd and i'm runnind the old zc ecu for now.

I have a lightened flywheel so it will need a few more revs to get going but it seems to be lagging a bit down low revs.
I currently have open headers so i'm guessing this isn't helpin very much.
I have contacted a few exhaust shops and am waiting for them to reply so i can get it fitted.
I have new platnum plugs (cost price FTW!!! and the guy at the warehouse charged the price for copper ones) for it and new leads

Any ideas?

  • Hondas need backpressure bad so the open header isn't helping. also check timing and that your idle is set right.

The PM6 runs rich down low you may need to change maps or run OBDI.

I am looking for he right ecu, they arent easy to find. Coupes are rather rare down here and my old one is fried.

I'm making a OBD1 conversion harness in my spare time. but i need a computer to get it finished
