It has valid information, no need to start another thread when this is here with everything you need to know

Shows the search function was used, we like this
  • I am also working on a GSR/CRV swap into a Rt4wd. Do you have the parts compiled yet lafwagon ?

    Added to quicklinks.

In terms of the difference in rear differential ratio couldnt you just put a slightly smaller tire size on the back? At the moment I dont really have the patience to work out the math, but im sure that you really wouldnt need a much smaller rear tire set up to make the distances match up.
  • sorry to resurrect a dead thread, but if the pics still exist PLEASE(actually begging) re-upload them.
  • do a quick google search, I found a bunch of the red wagon w/gsr 4wd
I forget the link, if i find it again i will post it.

Anyway the link i found had pisc of the engine bay, and rear diff setup- it was really helpful- I will search again.

Edit- ok so its not quick, been looking for an hour now, I cant find it. it was on a guys web page like facebook but he had a killer collection of the red wagon and the whole setup. sorry guys, If i do find it ill be back with the link.

Are you all looking for pics of the red car still? It is now my vehicle and can snap some photos of whatever you need...
  • I'm mostly curious about the engine mounts/rear diff mounts/driveshaft
  • engine mounts- driver side is fine, passenger side needs to be cut and re welded, not sure about the rear i think you need to re weld it also. the front is traction bar for clearance and weld on tabs for motor mount or get creative with the stock setup. Its tight with the exhaust manifold on the stock crossbar.

drive shaft was a crv shortened to fit with what looked to be 1" angle iron in the center support of the wagon then the crv support bolted to that. "look at bams project you can get an idea of customizing the mid support"

rear dif- had a 1.5" round pipe mounted on the car from one side to the other with a flat piece welded to the center "mount for the diff"

If the pictures pop up it would help you the most but that is what i recall the setup being. one question how are you getting the speedo to work? you going with vss and cluster swap or somehow keeping the cable drive?
  • Haven't gotten that far yet, build is still on paper

    It's ok guys.

    I'm from the internet.

In all seriousness, I'm not doing a "Hey it would be nice to do this", I'm stubborn and frankly I'd fail myself if it didn't get done.

From what I can see it's mostly straight forward, and if it's not, I have the people to make it happen.

Bump cuz everyone is asking about this... but everyone is giving up searching after 5 minutes...

    Sticky'd until quick links return.
