I'm certain that cmerce is still making these. I have one and so does MrM3. The one shown initially in this thread is mine, mounted on my grey Wagon using Aerocatch hood latches.
You could PM him to get in touch. I don't think he gets on here every day, but a PM would likely hit his email and alert him to your inquiry.
Here's the newest CF hood skin fresh off the mold last night. I tried something new and clearcoated the mold before making the hood on it. So when I popped the CF skin off the mold the clear coat is conveniently already on the hood!
Mine was built as CF top 2 layers, foam core and fiberglass single layer on the bottom. The underhood webbing was also fiberglass. 9.9 lbs and plenty strong.
The hoods are made with Carbon Fiber and FRP. The FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) is the same as whats used in high performance applications like racing seats and aerospace parts. It's continuous length fibers that go from one end of the hood to the other uninterupted. The FRP is also knitted instead of woven and is 50% stronger than normally woven fibers.
I can make a pure carbon hood if you'd like but the price will probably be more than you're expecting.
sorry for the necro-thread. its late and i dont look at the date.
He needs a hood that'll fit the Wagon with the DOHC bump on it to make another mold. So if you want to take your Wagon hood, graft in the DOHC bump, make it all really really pretty and clean, then send it to him to sacrifice to make another mold, oh, and pay for another mold to be made, then you can get what you're after.
Ill take one in blue carbon if he wants to build me one. Ive been doing carbon work here in kentucky just tinkering around in the garage and have got some really nice pieces out of them. Not trying to make a hood though lol. ill post up some pictures of what i have done. mostly just stuff for the motorcycle.
they make a carbon fiber vinyl.
i've seen it in person. you can't tell the difference.
one of the shops i deal with did their tundra. they said it's like the clear bra that they install on front of cars.

fake CF... i cant ever understand that. the purpose of CF is more strength with less weight...

(HEY MY FIRST POST!!!!)
Yeah pretty much like Jaker said for the DOHC bump it would require what he mentioned. Jaker sent down the original hood for this mold to be made.
I'm going to post up some more pics of the build process for people that are interested. Stay tuned...

The only reason I ask is to see if the ZC valve cover and timming belt cover will fit fairly well.
