help interpreting flash codes (please) (GA)

I'm looking at a '90 integra, which I thought shared codes with 4g civics, right? Getting a weird sequence.

There are 3 discrete length flashes:

short we'll call .
medium is -
long is _

ok, so it's flashing ... . _ ---- ... . _ ----
(3 short, 1 short 1 long 4 medium repeat.)

WTF?

    three short is code 3
    one short is code 1
one long four medium means code 14 i think

It has a crazy surging idle, any of those could make sense... but why the different length flashes :? ? Any idea of other places/forums to check? I have little patience for the big honda-technical board. I looked some, but didn't DARE ask a question.

I'm prolly buying this car as an organ donor, just want to know what i'm getting into.

    thanks.

^^thanks. I found multiple code lists, just was a little baffled by the flash pattern. I did find an explanation later that said long flashes sometimes/in some ecms mean 10, so I guess diz is right.
