Replacements/Swaps for 88 4WD LCA

Can I swap out my LCA's on my 88 4WD with other EF's?

And would it be hard to do this conversion?

I'm not sure if there are any other post about this, can someone point me in the right direction if there is, because I just spent 1 1/2 hours looking for this answer.

I've read post that explain the difference but no one says what can be swapped in. Let me know.

you can swap it out with any 88 EF if you wanna keep you strut. if you want to change it you can swap any 89-00 civic rear LCA.

The LCAs from the 1996-2000 Civic are longer than the 1988-1995 LCAs. Put those on your 88 Civic, and you'll have about 15 degrees of negative camber  .

    good info!

i got that assumption from skunk2 selling the LCAs for all 89-00 :?

    lolz anyways
  • Skunk2 actually have a seperate listing for the 96-00 Civic LCAs. I went and checked to be sure my info was correct before posting.

For '88 Wagon(EE) you can swap in '89-'91 EF LCAs ...
From the following Suspension sticky(under lowering 2-3''):

  • Thanks for the info guys, I got a CRX sitting around and I'll probably just change the whole LCA along with the suspension.

I know there is a difference and will all this bolt right up? I'm just wondering if it will bolt up to the brake assembly, because it looks different.

i just checked skunk2 products and they list the Civic EF/EG LCAs separate from the CRX.
