Car starts then dies????

alright it happen few weeks ago. the car would have some hard times startin then start, finaly it just stoped starting, got a new dizzy the car started then craped out, re started it runs for awhile then stops, when it cools down it start, made sure the rotor was on good, the car gets spark, im thinkin its the main relay, BUT would the car start and die alot if it were the main relay?? i read that if it starts it not the main relay and i also have read that relays tend to do this alot and will run then stop and run then stop. i dont wanna go out and buy a relay if its not the prob any other ideas what it could be???? lmk soon guys your my only help haha thanks

    I tell any new EF owner to replace their main relay, strictly as a precaution. They ALL go bad eventually and if the original is in there, its a ticking time bomb. Its not a matter of "if", but "when".
    They're roughly $60. That's pretty cheap insurance...it decreases your chances of being stranded someplace exponentially. So even if it doesn't fix this specific problem, its worth doing.

    the fuel pump comes on and primes...... runs then just dies im thinkin idle air control valve or what?????? would that make the car just die and run and die????

    well the diz. could be junk .. sad but true try one from a working car maybe i had the same problem i would say check your grounds and all that jive but maybe the coil ??? a new diz. fixed my problem will it run if its revved ? as in not idleing ? once you start it like keep it at say 1,500-2,000 will it still just die
