lifting a crx

sorry to bother you wagon folks with a crx question. but i have been reading up here about springs on your wagons. I have a 90 crx and i need to lift it up.

If i am reading right would da springs give a crx 1-2" of lift?

I have found alot of info on here and it seemed to be that da springs would lift a wagon that much. unfortunately i have also read on here that the front da springs are the same height as the wagon. so im a little confused. i have measured stock crx spring and the height while off the car ar 13".

can anyone confirm the height on da springs?

Its not really the springs that matter so much, its which shocks you choose to use with the springs.

I think you'd need to use crx/hatch or DA shocks. Wagon shocks would sack the arse out of your CRX.

    Its ASS Haydz!!! LOL!!!

But back on topic, aren't the RT4wd struts and springs good for lifting CRX/Civics??

AFAIK the spring perch on the wagon strut is the only bit thats different between it and the crx/hatch. The spring perch is lower so if you used a wagon strut and hatch spring it'd be pretty damn low.

    And its arse. :P

shock length is an issue for the total travel of the wheel. or at least i think it is. the da shock is longer than the hatch/crx shock but the perch is lower from what i read. resulting in no ride height change.

so i dont think the length of the shock has an effect but rather the location of the shock perch on the body of the shock. if it is welded 2" higher then the car is 2" higher. i dont think i can cut and reweld the shock perch without totally screwing up the shock however.

i do know that off the car the crx stock spring is 13" tall. does anyone have any other stock springs laying around?

You are correct about the shx. You'll need DC ('94-'00)Springs.Please read my ,''+++SiWagon & clsmooth Suspension Upgrades''for the latest update:

wow you updated this like yesterday didnt you.

    ok so to quote
    Lifting the Wagon:
    3/4''(19mm) Lift:Use the 4WD springs on the 2WD.
3/4''-1''(19-25mm):red civic standard used 2000 Civic Si Springs.
1.5''(35mm): hankish used DC(94-00) Shx/Springs.DC Shx might get you a extra 6mm.Just make sure you have the '89+ LCA.Rally racers run NO sway bar.
1''(25mm)+:Coilovers cranked up to desired lift.

if im reading this correctly then either dc or 2000 civic si springs will lift an ef/ed.

could i also interpret that to mean that any springs from 2000 would work? what years where those anyway 96-00???
