updated pics below
I'm trying to keep the wagon away from salted roads this winter, so I bought this dirty piece of crap "standard" model hatchback (70 horspower, 4-spd manual) to beat on. It's bone stock and reasonably well maintained, but it needs a water pump and some soap. I got started cleaning it up today.
I had to take the bumper off so I can fix the horn.
GROSS!

great pics too
: )
but like yours, no rust 8)
nice progress so far!
I don't know if it was coffee or tea or soda-pop or all of the above, but there were Oreo cookies ground into the carpet also. It was really sticky, lol.
I got home today and it was all rainy, so I'll work on it more tomorrow.
Wierd how things change...
How much she cost?
I got on my hands and knees and scrubbed the carpet with soapy water and a brush. I then rinsed it a bunch more. In the end, I still have a worn-out carpet with burn holes. At least it is clean and smells nice.
Also note the zip-tie upholstery repair! I put the block-shaped "grabber" part of the zip ties underneath against the foam. The seat is totally comfortable to sit on.
It's somewhat ghetto, but it will be a great car for getting to work during the great financial apocalypse.
The hatch area was pretty clean to begin with...
not detailed, just a quick clean-up
I need to seal up the holes inside the wheel wells.
