Damn I don't get no love or view traffic anymore. Haha. Cell pictures, but at least I'm updating and finally moving along. So I did a little wet sanding and added primer to the front end yesterday. There's more wet sanding to be done. Eventually the whole car will be wet sanded & primered & sent to paint. Also, put on all my brand new suspension parts and mounted my wheels in the front. Tomorrow after work we're tackling the rear. I recently bought, Skunk 2 fronts and Buddy Club rear camber kits, ARP extended studs, and Work Wheels lug nuts. I'm also using H&R spaces 15mm & 10mm that I purchased awhile back. The wheels are a 15x9 +36, but +21 after I added 15mm spacers in the front. All wrapped with 205/50/15 Nitto Neo Gens. Definitely going to roll my fenders and go more low.
Mounted the back two today too. The front is going to come down and depending on how much I can come down in the front will determine if I plan on dropping the back some more. But for the most part the wheels fit nicely. Don't even need to roll the fenders, but will just in case. I should be ready to smog, register, and get insurance next week. Import Alliance is just right around the corner. Sunday I plan on playing with the suspension and cleaning out the interior. There are wires everywhere.
Thanks guys. Hopefully I'll be done with the major parts of this build by the early months of next year. More pictures Sunday after I play with the height and camber some more. Can't wait.
Damn Rev, you were there? I didn't see your wagon? But then again I wasn't at the meet much, spent a nice amount of time on the walking bridge to go eat.
Jorge, Yea, paint is definately in the works. Planning on either Jan. or Feb. I want to buy headers and tucked radiator. I also plan on getting rid of the F22B V-tec for a F22A. Those motors are just so much better. I plan on rolling the back and going a little lower after I put my system back in.
Bam, yea I didn't make it known I was going. Just wanted to show up and see what was going on.
So my passenger axle already broke. Either I'm too low causing it to bind, or the one we put together wasn't done correctly. I'm thinking about buying one from RAXLES.com, but I'm not sure. I'm also debating about buying my cousin's EF sedan to daily and make this wagon my weekend car. I can't come to terms with putting a new axle and raising it up to daily. It looks too good low. It's only been a month too. Smh.
Damn man, mine are binding and right now and I have a busted boot but I haven't had any experience with them breaking otherwise. I plan on going with raxles next though, maybe hand off mine with the lifetime warranty to a friend or something and use their cores so someone benefits from the warranty. lol
Probably parting out and selling the wagon soon. If you need parts I'll have a bunch of stuff off of it available at Import Alliance in ATL - Turner Field.
Corners, tail lights, EDM rear garnish, Third brake light delete, all four JDM door panels, window visors.
At the moment I'm not selling anything online. I will after the coming up Import Alliance.
Sorry to hear your getting rid of it man, I was really digging how it was coming along. I'll definitely be at IA this year, so I might be seeing ya. Not sure I'd be comfortable buying something from your wagon though, I'd feel kinda bad since I see it sitting so nice now.
It was probably not from being too low, if you're at all suspect on the axle being put together incorrectly (we all make mistakes man!) I'd just say grab one from the junkyard and give it a shot, if the boots arent torn its probably still good!
I'm just saying keeping the car and throwing in a new axle is a lot less work than parting it out, and 100000x less bs haha.
I'm over the car. It was fun while it lasted. I know I'll miss it, but at this point in my life. I don't want to have this burden on my anymore. I rather sell it straight up or trade it for a tacoma or something, but I don't know.
I'm actually going to give it a chance and keep it. Getting a new chipped ECU and seeing if that helps the problems I'm having with the motor. Then it's minimal body work and paint. Should be bringing it out to IA looking quite different. Oh, I might be trading my daily four door EF for a 72 VW Beetle.

clutch glad you decided to keep it ...
hope this bug is nice, im sure the daily driver isnt a stock EF by any means :!:
Don't really have any updates. Just driving it here and there when I feel like it. Nothing new really. Probably going to bring it out to IA (Import Alliance) in a few weeks. No intentions on painting it soon. Here's some long overdue pictures with the daily; the down part is that they're instagram (@DLCHVU) pictures.
Here are a couple shots I took today in between shooting footage for the new video I'm putting together. Didn't bother to wash the wagon, I just wanted to get some more practice editing videos.
And here's one from last weekend before we hit the road for IA.

Good to see it on the ground, though!
