    Yep that works.

Im curious as to why you have chosen the F22? Nobody here in NZ bothers with them.

    Wheels look great!

More torque and the reason nobody has messed with them. Should be fun once I decide if I want to keep this motor and go all-motor or swap in a F22A and go boost. But we'll see.
  • *sigh... gotta love work in progress : )

I actually hate work in progress. Haha. It's been in progress for over a year.

I'm pretty sure the f22 is the best flowing head stock as well. Bisi messes with them for some dumb reason. :P

After I graduate next Dec (2012), I'm considering it. It would just suck having my wagon there and going through emissions every year. Would cost me like $200 every year just for that. But we'll see. Thanks for the compliment guys. Once I get this running, I'll definitely have some videos. I'm also on a hunt for a Buddy Club Spec 2 exhaust. Any application, its going to have to be modded anyways.

Very nice Clutch. I love where the wagon is headed. 8)

Can you do me a small favour? Can you throw a straight edge ruler across the back side of the wheel on the lip, and then measure somewhat accurately how much wheel there is from the face where it bolts to the hub to the outside edge of the back of the wheel? I'm also getting a set of these, and need to know what I can do to get them a little wider.

If you need me to, I can take pictures later today and post up exactly what I mean.

Won't be making it to IA in July. Already settle and I'm going to spend those three extra days in San Diego.

Yea, post up pictures, because I'm still unclear of what measurements you need. You need them wider then 9 inches? Lol.

Looking good man, I'm glad to see some progress pics finally. How do you like the ESP traction bar?

Pretty sure this is what hes after.

Laying the wheel (without a tire) face down on a level surface, lay a straight edge across the back side of the wheel. Measure from the wheel-to-drum/disc mounting pad to the straight edge.

Wider is better ;) Im shooting for 15x10's when its all said and done myself. Would love to be able to run the 275-30-15's that Hoosier offers.

Those wheels are sick man. Love the 949's!

Props on the original build too. i dont see anything wrong with the f22. good torque and every Accord at every salvage yard ive been too still has a motor in it. Which means...huge abundancy of parts.

For now since I haven't driven with it, its treating me well. Haha. I kind of regret not getting the Full-Race one because my radiator doesn't have anywhere to sit on.

Oh. Alright. I will soon, probably when finals are over next week. 15x10s would be bad ass. F22s are the secret weapon in my book. My uncle owns a junkyard so I got it for free anyways. Even if you don't have an H22 transmission, manual F22 transmissions are everywhere. The auto ones are the ones we sell the fastest.

f22b1 , great motor choice . That was the first swap in my 97 hatch. What trans are you running?

    H22, M2B4, I think that's what is was. I forgot.

I know it's been awhile, but I finally got my car on the ground and running for now. Hopefully I'll be able to drive it next weekend. It's been way too long. Didn't have a camera today with me and all I had was my Flip so I put together a little video for the heck for it. First time my car sat on the ground in a year and a half. Can't wait to actually drive this thing. I really need to clean and adjust my tripod. Zipties on the radiator for mock up reasons. Also go 949wheels going on soon.

Watch the video since I don't have any pictures!

Here's a picture after I got done test driving it. Had to raise it up a bunch. Hopefully I'll be able to drop it a few turns and still be alright. The angles of the axles were too extreme. It runs, and vtec works too!

Looking good. I can agree, projects are not fun when you don't have time or the space to work on them.
  • jdm_rolexjdm_rolex New Wagonist
Tha Clutch how do you like the ESP tbar?? Hows the radiator mounting? Do you need a JDM slant to make it fit?
  • ThaClutcHThaClutcH Senior Wagonist
I hope the stance will be okay. If I can't be as low as I want I won't run a stretch, I'll just run meatier tires.

I like the traction bar. Honestly, if I could do it again I would just get the one from full race since the radiator should match up. All I have to do now is weld in brackets for the radiator to sit in. I plan on getting an ALL in Fab tucked radiator so I might just skip that step. But ESP has great products. I have their traction bar, upper alternator bracket, and hydro to cable conversion bracket.

Thanks Bam, looking to hopefully to bring it out soon on the 949 wheels before I put those away for winter. Your body lift wagon is crazy.

  • ThaClutcHThaClutcH Senior Wagonist
Fit was my cousin's, since he couldn't make that meet. I daily a GMC Yukon, which isn't so nice on my wallet, but I hope to have my wagon back as a daily soon.
  • ThaClutcHThaClutcH Senior Wagonist
Getting real close to completion with Fall IA being less than a month away. I’m definitely going to play with the height again. It looks so weird because I used to be slammed. We’ll see how low my axles will allow me to go.
