Cool shot! I love seeing Wagons enlisted in work. I felt the stock brakes were a touch "small" for towing too; I ended up getting a fairly good deal on some Integra stuff and used that as my upgrade. So far so good. I routinely haul junk with mine too.
A cheap, less extensive brake upgrade is to simply upgrade the pads. A good street performance/autocross pad like Hawk HPS would work well. In fact I just put a set on the front of my Miata.
Wagons at work. Awesome thread. I'll be sure to add to it in the future. I'm going to be putting it to work this week...
Installed projector headlights to replace the bullet hole ridden OEM ones. Bought an EF bumper, but haven't figured out how to remove and replace the trim on top of the EE bumper.
lessee, today i mounted/balanced one new tire. I had 3 almost new tires and one stupid old bald bastard.
Yesterday I had it tinted, 30% all around. Looks sweet.
A week ago drained/filled the auto trans, the rear diff fluid, spark plugs, air filter, and flushed the P/S fluid. And spent far too much time and brake cleaner spraying off old caked on oil on the block.
Next week, new timing belt, tensioner, water pump/thermostat, front crank seal, coolant drain and fill.
mmm, maintenance...
Starter's going out on me. Bought a replacement. *IT* was defective! Replaced the replacement, haven't had time to install it yet (probably tomorrow). In the meantime I've borrowed my gf's starter from her CRX Si - her tranny's still out of the car so she wasn't using it...
Got the replacement replacement starter on Thursday and it works. Today I reattached my windshield trim that started falling off.
Oh, and I reassembled the gf's CRX. That's what I spent most of my day on, actually. It left the garage - not under its own power, but only because the battery lost its charge during the months of storage/repair. Keep in mind that when I brought it into the garage, I was getting dripped on by melting snow and ice.
Removed my front bumper today so I could get the hood open and free the socket wrench I stupidly placed on the passenger side wheel well after I had swapped batteries. Also adjusted the spring on the hood so it would close and open smoothly as closing the hood with the socket wrench caused it to misalign and it screwed up the alignment.
Found out I need a new rad after noticing many of the fins on the bottom portion were missing. Any suggestions?
I lowered my wagon with Skunk2 Pro S Coilovers and Skunk2 rear lca's (the bronze ones). The ride is much better since the rear right strut was gone and making thumpy noises. I'm loving the ride, just not sure I like the front mudflaps rubbing when I hit any little bump. Might raise it up a little. We'll see.
I took mine to see the "TV on the Radio" concert at the Malkin Bowl in Stanley park... Brought the whole outdoor living room / kitchen set up with us, had a bbq, played some bocce, grooved to some tunes... It was pretty choice. Then I drove the hell out of the car on the way home - she likes rough love
Yeah, it's a D70. I've taken some college level photography...and that's the extent of my experience. I just shoot alot. The more you take, the better chance of getting a good shot.
Got the spindle and front bearing replaced (much nicer now). Popped off the passenger front door car and fixed the window action with epoxy and white lithium grease. Pictures to follow soon.
