That'll be in a week or two - ordered a new cat-back exhaust today since mine has become "holey" Just a Bosal stock replacement, nothing fancy. I hate the way a performance exhaust sounds with an automatic transmission anyway.
funny cuz i just redid the exhaust on my RT with 2" piping. Left the cat in, (tried it without the cat, way to loud and the gas mileage went down the drain) I have to say it sounds pretty good to me. Those of you goin to the Edgefield Meet in Oregon on March 7th will be able to tell me what they think of it. (don't be to harsh on me though!!)
I also tightened down the vacuum pump and put the hinge pin back in the glove compartment hinge. That was surprisingly difficult, but it was really bothering me.
What?!?! I didn't know you had a slushbox; and you race that thing to!
How much did the Bosal cost and where abouts did you order from? I am trying to determine if its more cost effective for me to order one of those or make my own.
The Bosal exhaust ran me about $180, shipped, from Rock Auto. That includes the pipe, the muffler, and the 2 associated gaskets (I skipped the bolts and rubber hangers). Interesting to note that I had to scope out the cat-to-tailpipe gasket by part number - it wasn't included in their list of exhaust gaskets for the wagon.
I haven't put it on yet. I'll let you know how it goes and if it seems worth it. I received it last week, and it's all shiny and stuff. Oh, and I noticed that the Bosal muffler INCLUDES the two small drain holes that Honda forgot to put in their original exhaust. I was going to drill them myself, only to find I don't have to.
As far as love for the wagon goes, I've got rear speaker pods on the way and the Kenwood speakers from my old Miata ready to go in. Was going to put them in the "new" Miata, but I figure the wagon can get them and the Miata gets headrest speakers instead.
