4wd vibrations in the rear
red civic standard
familEE
My RT4wd has vibration in the rear whenever the throttle is being applied. It is most apparent between 45 and 55 mph.
The drivetrain components include the transmission, the transfer case, the front center driveshaft with viscous coupler, the rear center driveshaft, the rear differential, and the rear axles.
I have already inspected and replaced the transmission, the transfer case, the front center driveshaft with viscous coupler, and the rear center driveshaft. This leaves the rear differential or the rear axles as the culprit.
Could it be the the motor mount holding up the rear differential is extremely worn out? Anyone have vibration problems from a bad rear axle?

You describe exactly what I had before drive shaft rebuild...
Also, is it droning vibes (driveline speed) or more like wheel-out-of-ballance vibe?
Last week I replaced the two mounts that hold the rear differential up to the chassis. Vibrations are gone!!
he already said he fixed the problem in the post previous to yours
