Head Gasket/Bolts for ZC

Sup guys , It's been a while but I'm back. This time I've got a bad head gasket on my JDM ZC DOHC & I am having a tough time trying to figure out how to go about buying the right gasket. I would like to upgrade to a multi layer steel gasket & ARP bolts. When I shop these products the ZC is never mentioned. Since the ZC DOHC didn't come in any USDM wagons, the numbskulls at the local parts house don't have a clue.My shot in the dark guess would be to order it for an 89 integra dohc but like I said that would be a guess. Can any one help?

  • When I did my turbo ZC I used ARP headbolts and a HKS turbo headgasket. You might have to contact ARP and get the part number for ZC's but they did start making them or use part # 204-4204 VW Golf/Jetta 16v(http://www.homemadeturbo.com/tech_projects/built_ZC/index.html). HKS makes an awesome head gasket, practically bullet proof. I recommend it if that means anything. I used one on a turbo build that had no intercooler or tuning on 8lbs boost and never had problems except for blow-by of the piston rings. ZC's are tough ass motors.
  • Thanks for the info guys, I wen't to the HKS website, they had no listing for a ZC or any D series engines only B series . Will these work? Everywhere I look there are listings gallore for B's but no ZC's. Could I use an 89 integra gasket?
  • Are you looking at HKS USA or HKS JDM? I think there is a difference. I didn't get mine directly from HKS, I purchased it from some shop in California because HKS USA doesn't do parts for ZC's. This was also something like 5 years ago, maybe they just don't stock them anymore. I would call HKS if you need.
