92 ZC in 91 RT4WD - questions

Im new into the whole "ZC" thing, but earlier today I was driving and my shitty 100 dollar d15b2 decided to start knocking.

So I picked up a 92 Sohc ZC motor.. Looks just like the d16a6, so it should all work correct besides me having to swap out my obd0 stuff with the obd1 stuff that's on the motor..

But How's the power on this motor? I've read the ZC Specs and it says it has 120hp, which the motor I have now has less than 100.. lolz..

But is there anything I should know about while swapping in the motor?

Its a RT4WD Auto Wago0o0.

Not really anything you need to know, the OBD0 SOHC ZC is what came standard in most JDM Shuttles. :D

    119HP and pretty free revving.

    Happy wagoning.

Nice. I hope this is a good upgrade from my D15B2.. When I bought my wagon, the factory D16a6 had a pretty hole in the side from sucking water up, so I Don't know how it feels from factory. I DO Know the d15b2 was about as slow as a turtle and was horrible to drive on the freeway. .

Im Excited to feel that extra 20+ hp even though my transmission is messed up, and won't downshift as it should when u give it throttle.

Change your transmission fluid at the same time as the swap.

Make sure you get things like end seals, waterpump, cambelt and tensioners done before you put the motor in the hole, its much easier to do while its all out. Consider the same for your clutch and associated bearings while you're at it.

What's funny is, I just put this motor back together about a week ago after its been sitting since January.. I blew the head gasket, and its just been sitting.

sO I replaced everything, and today it takes a crap on me.

I need a new transmission most definatly. The S4 light blinks constantly, and the low button doesn't do anything, nor does the one on the gear shift (once again, its automatic).

It drives fine, I just don't think 4wd works, and it doesn't down shift when I give it full throttle on the highway
