Shortened clutch pedal travel

I was doing some brain storming on my way home from work and wondering has ever done or thought of a good way to shorten the travel on the clutch. I was thinking of shortening the shift lever that is on the trannsmission some. So instead of a 3" arc it only has a 1 1/2" arc. The lever that engages/disengages the throw-out bearing. Anybody have expierence with levers and force equations. I know it would stiffen up the pedal but it would be really cool to depress the clutch pedal maybe 2" and fully disengage the clutch instead of the 6 feet of travel that is stock.

Any thoughts or comments?

This isn't exact, but roughly tripe the pounds to push. The :?: :?: is whether the pedal brkt or cable will take the force over time.Well your left leg may get stronger.

I have an extra shift lever so I might try it. I will let you guys no. Thought it would be good for shorter shifing time for drag or autox. And plus I thought it would be cool like the factory rally cars.
