My cupholder mod

Well here it is..

Walmart cupholder with the bottom cut out and then screwed down to the center console over the shifter.. It works great and is out of the way if mounted right.. Could work with an automatic if modded correctly..

    Haha yeah.. My dad bought it for his old car and I've never thought about using it until a few weeks ago when I saw it in the garage and I had an epiphany about it.. lol

    Works great!

    is the bottom width big enough to cut out to fit an automatic? like so you can still see all the gears and everything shift correctly?

    show a side pic of how flush it fits.

    cut that center console part around the shifter, cut the cupholer's bottom out to fit directly around where the old center console was.

    my center console down there is painted black anyways so it'd match perfect, i'll give it a go this weekend.

    : ) uhmm ... there is about an inch between shifter in P and ashtray ...

    see remote control and attachment/holder on the right

    instead of pushing my low gear button, left top, i'll plunch in a cup of hot coffee : )

    Nice mod, but the orange scrunchy shit in the bottom really detracts from the quality.

    Try getting a generic leather shift boot. Roll the edge under to form a lip and bolt the lip to the cupholder with those four exposed bolts around the shifter.

    what about cutting the rear supply holder area off of the cupholder itself and the install it backwards... cupholders facing the backseats.

    Not a bad idea ... however there is a hand brake issue ...

    you can see just the tip of it bottom middle ...

    a suitable armrest is what im aiming at

    Plus it is too wide to fit between the seats.. The orange rags are there becuase I have an automatic center console cause my car used to be auto.. I ain't much worried about it..

    Take a center console from a 1992-98 acura integra and install. now you have a arm rest and cup holders.

    and for the infamous or myth wagon armrest
    Honda civic crx EF JDM EDM EF9 EF8

    Here's my version of Kahuna's cupholder mod. I bought the same cupholder from Walmart, cut out the middle and just placed it over my shifter. With the way my seats are, the cupholder is held in place by the seats and doesn't move at all. This way, I didn't have to drill into my console. If it eventually starts to move, I've got some double sided tape to hold her down.

    I think they put all cars in the banner, we're too few to discriminate. I dunno if they do that, just seems so from what you said.
