not a wagon question

my mom has a 1993 Ford Aerostar van.

on the passenger side when we make turns a loud POP occurs. it's not like a tick tick tick tick tick like my wagon does due to the cv joint, it sounds like two pieces of metal pulling from one another and popping really loud.

any ideas?

Ball joint out of whack ??

I had a 90 Aerostar myself... what a POS.

Parts would break even when it wasn't moving!!

I sold it to my brother for $500 because he needed a people mover for inside the city and it lasted another 6 months in his hands.

i didn't think about the ball joint.

how much would that cost to replace?

yeah, the van is dirt shit. it gets roughly 10mpg and it needs a tune up really bad it bogs down when accelerating.

it only has around 145k miles tho.

haha never been serviced or sh!t.

Maybe it has one of those fancy trac-lok units. Had a full size truck with that annoyance. Worked great in the snow though...

I would look at the springs first.
