^that cover looks great!.... maybe just leave the spark plug cover "wood" and leave the rest of teh VC black???

That was my plan, need to tidy up where I shaved the Lettering as its a little rough due to me not caring much since it would be covered anyway.

Havnt done anymore to the Shuttle, I did however spend all day polishing my Girlfriends new car. Previous owner hadnt looked after the paint so well and has even painted the bonnet with a spray can, paint match is good, workmanship however is not.

    Looks much more presentable now:

Have lost interest in this sadly, I still enjoy driving it but I have three cars and get picked up for work each day.
Its not that I dont like it just that to me its "finished", I had an offer to have it in NZPeformanceCar magazine but that seem to have fallen through due to me taking my time to finish it.

Here are some pics of it looking its best:

I have turned down a few offers from people who want to buy it but I may have to say yes soon
  • fuck that shit is niiiiice!!!!! dont sell
  • how come this shuttle doesnt have the rear signal lights on the back bumper?

how come this shuttle doesnt have the rear signal lights on the back bumper?
    Rear fog lights?)
Because most JDM cars dont have them.

I dont think I have ever seen a Shuttle with them, its mostly a EDM option

Im not excited to see it go, but I've had it 4 years now. There is nothing left I want to change and sadly it just sits in the carport these days (My Integra just sits in the shed with a flat battery). One of them had to go and sadly its the Shuttle.
New owner has been asking me to sell it for at least a year

So.... the new wagon has transformed into a cr-v???

I remember chaos asking for it a while back, was it him?
  • I assume if they've been asking for a year, it mush be a friend. It's always good to see a car go to a friend, or at least someone you know. That way you can keep in contact and see how the car is doing. I recently met a guy who bought a civic hatch I used to own, and it was really nice to see my old car again! Looking better than ever too!

Pretty much, CR-V is much more comfortable and can go places the Shuttle cant. Shuttle just didnt have a use for me anymore so time to move on.

Yea its a Mate, Ive had a couple offers over the years but he has kept hassling.
Probably could have sold it for more but didnt have to deal with time wasters etc trying to sell it so I'm happy with what I got for it. 3x what I paid for it, but less than half what Ive spent on it

Great build Andrew and a sweet story for many years to come!

I was driving with the shuttle's current owner around the track at Jerk fest.
That b18c hauls, I surely didn't pull away in the b16b.
I'v got a gopro video of it going around taupo somewhere, will find it and post it up if you want?

Yet again, congrats, lots of great info to share within this build :encouragement:

    Would love to see that!

Here is a video of it doing what it did best, clocking the rev counter :D

It can go further past the 8000 if you try

    edit, like so:
  • I can completely understand this situation. My wagon has sat for a long time now unfinished with enough parts for it laying around to buy a very nice new car or build a second shuttle. AE86 sits in the other garage on the lift above my slammed Chevy Fullsize. All three haven't moved in quite some time.

If I could find someone to finish it with how I want my wagon finished I would probably sell too. At least you had someone you knew pick it up and they are very lucky to have such a nice example of a shuttle.
