I would have more picks of the installment but my cam batterys died so this its all i got but you have the basic idea.

So Yeah i found out sice its a late model 89 is uses 90 parts. So apperenly they up the clutch size from 89 to 90. So i hade to but a new clutch. "Sigh" what lameness. :( Well she runs but i think the timeing off or the valves arent adjusted right i put it in gear and floor it and it sound like it floods and grunts hard but go nowhere till 3600Rpms then take off. I wan't a new wagon or a new motor!
Anyone have a K20 they like to give me?

Hate doing clutches. It's almost easier to remove the whole motor than just the tranny. Did you replace the whole spindal (sp) up front? Curious why you knocked off the upper ball joint instead of just the lower. Also, if you have a big enough hammer it should only take about 5 wacks until it pops. As for the motor problems just make sure grounds are good and plugs in right spot.

Nice workspace you've got there! And air tools to boot! I really need to clean up my garage. And get some nice tools.

Did you get an OEM clutch or a performance model?

Well i hit the upper ball joint and the whole arm pulled forward. I guess i thought it would be easier. lol newbie doing a clutch, it was the whole kit but I’m not sure about the Spindale. :?

I notice that its like i could have pulled the whole motor just 3 more hours of work. Hell if i had $1000 i would get a JDM something vtec whole set up. But this was the cheaper road.

Well i was going to put that exedy clutch kit but it was for the wrong year.
So just a OEM for checkers auto.
But hell its works and i don’t have to Kick hard to shift. its smooth.

Yeah the shop not my its my friends dads. Its large shop/machine shop/big garage full of stuff.
The 13th pick down there a airplane behind Tom.
:D he's like ok we'll superglue the wings on and see if your wagon flys.

Now i got to see if the timing belt is off and or adjust the valves. since the previous owner rebuilt the head but i don’t think he adjusted the valves. LOL

Well that's reassuring - we have to replace the motor in my gf's CRX anyway, so that should make the clutch job it's needed since she got it much easier!
