(LS)reverse (clik noise) help?

alrite my buddy has a 90 crx with the ls swap. 97 b18 motor and 91 tranny from integra. when he puts it in reverse and lets out on the clutch and starts going. it will make a loud clicking noise? any ideas. one person told him it could be a reverse idleing gear? ne ideas

    transmissions dont have a clicking style noise, more of a grinding of gears or the sound of say a 100lb stone draging on cement (bearings) axles click, and a click going stait usually is the inboard joint. i would check the cv joints first. and install very carfully. if you pull them outward the bearings fall out inside the boot, you will never know untill you hear the click :wink: hope this helps.
