high flow cat/exhaust questions

I am in desperate need of a new exhaust as mine has more holes than swiss cheese. i figure i might as well only work on that one time so i was looking at some high flow cats and i know nothing about them.

does anyone have any knowledge/experience here? what should i look for and avoid? if i delete it will my check engine light stay on? what else should i know?


also, long term i plan to turbo my d16y7, would a 2 1/4 inch exhaust setup from the header back be enough to support that?

    i'm running a test pipe made by an exhaust shop and i dont throw any codes. stay away from ebay test pipes. very low-grade stainless. mine rusted up in 2 months.
