Did you see this mini truck in person ???

i didn't see this one in person but hey u live in Canada too so its no prob to get one. they're legal to drive on Canadian roads if they are 15 yrs or older. the Trax system i saw on an American website for around 5K. there are alota B.C. importers of these kei class trucks.

I've seen one just like that. Unfortuatelly, in US there are off-the-road only...
    Sucks... :(

    Why off the road only?

We have them here as well as the van versions.

Would love to own one of those ... 8)
If you lived in US you would reilize that we are the country of fire breathing-fuel gulping-SUV driving-soccer (football)MOMs...who cnnot lower themselves to driving a microvan ROFL...
That's besides the point that they will be first to crush you given a chance...
Besides we have these stupid NHTSA, DOT and CARB taht love the BIG THREE and will do everything to choke anything that doesn't comply with their own regulations...
Screw what people like, we live in FREE COUNTRY ... ROFL ...
    Bunch of pussies ...
  • Man when I was in Okinawa these things were everywhere. Some with rims, and all kinds of crap on them. I would rock one of those mini trucks in a heart beat. THey are a blast to drive also.

well actually you CAN drive RHD's in the US but they have to be older than 20-25 yrs...Canada's laws permit 15 but are trying to bump it to 20 also but lots of rhd importers are fighting back. so yah you can't drive that one on the road but you can drive an early 80's model...not so bad, but not so good. oh well
  • I was looking into getting one too, but damn of the U.S. As farfetched says, a bunch of pussies.

There's actually a place that I drive past to work called Low Country Buggies that imports them and redoes em with off-road suspension and what not for hunting, farming, etc. http://www.lowcountrymudbuggiesllc.com/

I was hoping to find a loophole to get it registered legally, but haven't found anything as of yet. They're cheap and plus they're RHD, which is mad JDM points! 8)

When I lived in Ukraine, a friend if mine had a Diahatsu 4WD pick up with a hard shell in the back. He converted it into a pass compartments with nice seats...and heater.
We love that thing to death...
these mini pick-ups look like a gaint TADPOLE :)
It was also RHD ...it was in 86-87 when RHD vehicle were permited (for a period) in Russia.
It makes me  thinking that i cannot cruise in one of these minies!!!
  • Off topic: My good friend that married my wife and I is from the Ukraine! Even did some of the ceremony in Russian...
