coilover sleeve question

i found a set of coilover sleeves for $50. they have red perches and yellow springs. the only brand i could find with those colors was aerospeed. has anyone had any experience with that brand or can anyone think of another brand they might be?

IMO if they are only $50 they are prolly shitty. i would reccommend some skunk 2's or ground control. they are more expensive but worth it in the long run. but its all up to you.

My mechanic is selling them to me for $50 because they were off of an EF that he parted out. I just couldnt tell what brand they were for sure.

oh well nevermind lol. i didnt even check the msrp on those coils anywho..lol but yeah im sure they are prolly fine. i personally dont know of anyone who had those particular coils, but they will prolly be good.
  • Depends what you are trying to do. If you don’t care about the ride, handling, or function and are just going for a “lowered” vehicle, you should be fine.

If any of the above matters to you, I would wait, save up a bit of money, and get a lowering spring kit. Your generally much better off.

I have had one of these types of kits back in 99 when the first started coming out big on my EF hatchback. I would never subject myself to that again.
