Got an offer for 5k as is today, thinking about taking it and being done with hard to find parts and the douchebags associated with the 4th gen scene in my area.
Damn, 5k is quite the offer. Still, I hope you don't take it. Your's was the first build I read through when I first joined this site and it's one of my favorites. Plus, I think Id have an immediate dislike for someone if they popped on this site introducing themselves with your old wagon.

Thanks man, that's really kind of you to say and I'd hate to let people I inspire down. I just feel like if I don't take it now I'll be stuck with it. Other than being extremely bored with the car, I just have grown to hate a lot of the people associated with Hondas in my area. Going to meets and enjoying my car with like minded people is one reason I like modding so much, but as far as fourth gens go around here it's pretty much a lost cause. We'll see, selling my car is definitely one of the tougher choices I've considered.
503- Go for it, not like much goes on here anyways.
Don't do it man. Your wagon was one of the reasons I got mine I have ur wag as my screen saver on my phone. Anyways who cares what them other Honda people say or do. Keep it real and be diff all those other civics is a dime a dozen. WAGS FOR LIFE.

When you put it that way, I can definitely relate. The Honda guys in my area are primarily assholes as well. Luckily, wagon owners seem to be the exception, but unfortunately they're few and far between in these parts.
I've been bored with the wagon for sometime now, but with an offer at hand like that it's hard not to consider it given my current feelings about it. lol I'm not meaning this to be ''tell me how much you love my car'' in anyway, but I really do appreciate you guys sharing that stuff. Either way I've got until Saturday to think about it, so I'm going to sleep on it. It's just so convenient and I doubt the chance would ever come back up. But after all the time, money, and effort put into it I don't know I could actually do it if the time came. lolol
I'm going to have to agree with everyone else. I think your wagon is one of the nicest on the forums, and I know it is in person too. But, you should definitely take the offer, especially since you aren't feeling it anymore.
If it were a gutted hatchback (like my 1992) I'd say it'd be worth considering the sale, but wagons are still good daily drivers and can accomodate family needs years down the road. I chose to keep my wagon and sell off an irreplaceable 92 hatch that I built ground up, bolt by bolt.
Ask yourself theses Qs:
- Can I duplicate this build again for $5,000.00?
- What kind of quality car can I build for $5,000.00?
- What import scene isn't filled with douchebag assholes?

If somebody offered me that kind of money for my wagon. I'd do it in a heartbeat.
Can always build another one.
Plus it looks like lately your more in love with the xj than the wagon.
Yes there are plenty of douchebags and arseholes associated with any scene ( plus too many fad crazy hoppers lately).
Your wagon is sitting on the ground so thus making it not that great for daily abuse around atlanta.
Mine I did not want to go that low due to it has to serve a purpose. It hauls my family, parts and me.
I'm 42 years old scraping my arse on the ground around atlanta ain't me.
Like I said if somebody offered me that kind of money, I'd do it.
But I would also put that money to good use in something else.
I told my wife that if I ever got offered the right money to sell my svo, I'd do it. Welp SVO got sold money got used for stuff on hatch and wagon.
Like I said many times your wagon is neat and i like it. Killiam my son said it looked really cool. He took a few pictures and videos of it at lake acworth.
But to me if you head is not in it. Cut your losses.
I've told my buddy Doug many times. I'm putting my build on hold, my head is not in it.
I've contemplated selling all of my ef's and all the parts associated with it and starting something else.
Trust me there has been many occasions I've got the list going.
If your head is not in it. Take a break. If it still is not in it, put it up for sale.
I am in the same place with my wagon and it isnt even finished. Just sits in a storage garage with loads of money dumped into it not doing anything. At least I am on my own when it comes to wagon owners here but that can also be a downer. If somebody offered me cash for mine like that I would be out, then maybe come back after this fad influx of people has moved to the next car they saw on youtube. Good luck with your decision.
Finally had the trans shimmed, put the Innovative mounts, front and rear camber kits, and new tires on(Falken Ziex 502). Drives very nice now, it feels nice and tight with no whine.
Tinted the windows, 35% front two doors and 20% all around the back.
Thanks, I want to redo it though and fill it with some filler primer to take care of some dimples in the cover itself. Not to mention the dremel got away from me when I was trying to etch the paint off of the ''H'' and such. (I got rid of those blue plug wires, too)
Yea, but that takes patience...which is something I don't have much of. lol Realistically that was the plan all along, but that patience issue falls hand in hand with being lazy.

Frankly, that's more than any of these cars are worth.

...just some things to consider IMO.
You're like a miniature buddha covered in hair.

Here is an Idea.
IA is in two weeks or less.
Slap a for sale sign on it, clean in up and go. Hang out and chill.
That will make you think harder about it.
I did that with my z28.
