    Josh,

Have you replaced the o-ring already?

  • RevmaynardRevmaynard Council Member
I replaced the o ring on the bottom of the rotor where it goes into the block. Is there one on the inside I can replace?
  • rbwdrivenrbwdriven Senior Wagonist
nope that is the one I was talking about.

If you have oil in the dizzy that is another symptom.
  • RevmaynardRevmaynard Council Member
Yup. Which seems like the only options are to keep topping off with oil or get a new one. lolol I'm gonna go with getting another dizzy.
  • RevmaynardRevmaynard Council Member

Lol, but na, it's insane how much an exhaust leak will mess your shit up!
  • rbwdrivenrbwdriven Senior Wagonist
I usually get my dizzy's from a place called distributor king out of canada.

Come with everything including ignitor for a pretty good price.
  • RevmaynardRevmaynard Council Member
    Word. I'll look into 'em.

I love how my car comes up to the siding and stops.

^^^ HAH!! Dope pic. Really clean ride man. Truly inspiring. Just goes to show that if you're dedicated you can really come up with something nice. Love the wood steering wheel. So if you use 2 gaskets will you get 200hp? or does that square the power LOL I kid I kid

Too broke to do anything or go anywhere this weekend since I'm trying to buy a house, but I did go take some pictures for fun. Some are repetitive but whatever.

I like the cream and black color coordination, especially with the wheels. Flawless.

Unfortunately my gauge cluster stopped working this morning, which is a real bummer. I like having the OG mileage on my dash. lolol :(
  • wagodizzlewagodizzle Council Member and EDM expert
its easy to keep the OG mileage dude ;) just requires a little surgery
  • RevmaynardRevmaynard Council Member
Ahhh, well I might just have to do that. Yesterday afternoon my CEL came on but was off by time I got home, then on the way to work it came on and was off by time I got here. So I'm not sure if I have a legit CEL or if it's a part of my cluster acting funky. I'm going to pull the carpet back and leave it, so maybe I can just pull over and count if need be. God I hope it's nothing serious!

If your speedo is not working then it is the cable broke.

that will throw a code 17 vss.

yep I know that one due to mine did it as well.

Speedo cable came out of the tranny due to the clip slipped a little.

Check your cable is still in the tranny if the only thing wrong with the cluster is the speedo.
  • bam-bambam-bam Council Member
    rbw's right.

Also, the CEL doesn't have to be on , if it coded it will have a stored fault code. Have a look, count the flashes.
  • RevmaynardRevmaynard Council Member
Alright, will do! I'm gonna run out there and try to check it out before it starts raining.
  • RevmaynardRevmaynard Council Member
Yep, throwing code 17. Sensor is still in the trans. I was worried it came out somehow from when I changed my transmission fluid through there about 2 months ago, but no. Also, I'm still at a loss why my gas needle NEVER completely goes up on a full tank or why my temperature gauge is so screwy. I thought the cluster just took a shit in all aspects once the speedo/odometer stopped working. Looks like I'll have to scour PullAPart Saturday.

Damn, your carro looks BA.

    Thanks man!

I resprayed my corner lights and polished my rims up some. Also replaced my drivers caliper, a lug stud, and the passenger rotor. I ordered adjustable rear toe links tonight. Hoping to have my transmission back sometime this week to install with two new axles. I'm also considering ordering an ac bracket soon.

Ordered an Innovative AC bracket and both axles. Gettin' perrrty dang excited about getting some of this shit fixed!
  • wagodizzlewagodizzle Council Member and EDM expert
    A/C. yummy.
  • RevmaynardRevmaynard Council Member
Ohhhhh yes! I'm sick of the heat and humidity! lol Got word I'll be able to put my trans in Saturday! Hopefully I'll get to use my buddy's stall at Mazmart (famous Mazda builders) to get it all put in! Lift ftw!
  • RevmaynardRevmaynard Council Member
Transmission is in. Ran into a bunch of annoyances that delayed us. But the deed is done. Everything feels smooth and shifts good so far, just has a slight whine to it. Hoping a little break in time will work that out some.

For anyone not sure of what I installed exactly, here's run down.

New passenger axle. (Drivers axle was mismanufactured and it was too late to return.) Stage 2 Competition Clutch, 7lb Fidanza flywheel, frankenstein transmission. Hydro b16 1-4, LS 5th, GSR diff, and a Phantom Grip lsd. I also got some adjustable rear toe links I need to put, an Innovative AC bracket, and a reman 0bd0 dizzy. But all those need to be installed still.
