i'm going to use some "professional" grade goof off and let it set on mine for a good 10 minutes then pressure wash them and see what all that gets off.
that goof off is some crazy sh*t. i didn't tape off my windows when i primered my car and the paint dried for 3 hours then i used some "professional" grade goof off on a paper towl and it got it right off my windows. took about 10 minutes for the whole car.
i'll sand with around 300 grit then 400 grit after the goof off and see how that looks.
I'll check the cans tomorrow. I just used a hard to light grit to sand down then paint. I actually need to redo one since it got cold and rainy by time I did the last one. I was doing them one at a time since they were my only wheels at the time.
Need some opinions guys, I got my stimulus check in.
Ok, so I have around $550 right now. I can either put it towards few things.
$700- Get my car repainted with painted bumpers and such.
$650- New XXR 501's in gold with polished lip.(with tires)
$???- A di6z6/d15b swap for the car. I know I want to do the swap eventually, they both run in the same price range, too. I want to get a small SOHC to get good gas mileage but have more power than a d15b2.
I can get a ob1 LS longblock for $400 with a three month warranty though....tempting.lol
Or I could use it for a variety of small things for the car. Tint, bra, MR2 old school wheels(with tires), and new carpet for the interior.
Just want some opinions since there are a few options. Thanks guys!
My Koni coilovers are at the shop! Now when my friend get's in town from running some track events in FL I will hopefully have them in my possession. Luckily I've had the money aside for those for months.
Well, tonight I actually talked a guy down to $150 for these first gen MR2 basketweaves. The center bore is 2mm too small but I can take care of that with a grinder. 4x100 14's. These will go on my almond cream wagon and the LS mesh will go on my silver wagon. I'm hoping to go get it this week/end.
Yea, I guess it would be safer. Sometimes you think cheap and not safe lol.
I know I'm not a new guy, but at the time I made this I was, this being before I realized we can only have one thread. I usually make multiple threads with minor updates on my home forum. You're welcome to change my title Mr. Wagomod. lol
Well tonight my battery wouldn't start after I left work around midnight from doing inventory. I have my manager and coworker help jump it off. I use my managers car and hook the terminals to the cables and the coworker of mine puts them on my battery. I get in to jump it any nothing, well needless to say the battery blows up. Dude didn't hook the cables up right! ARGH!
Eh, I don't mind buying a new battery so much. Today was just one of those days and that was the topper! We'll be ok, he didn't know he messed up and it's my fault for not double checking.
Got my Tamiya clear orange paint today. Painted the new corners I got from Dizzle, put on my new bumper from Trev, and I picked up my new wheels from a friend locally.
 I can't wait to get some new 14in tires for these. I get my nose mask tomorrow according to UPS. Expect pictures. Also updated my new wagon thread.
Nice, your webs def look better than the steelies, I got a set of webs and bought studded tires for them (50 series) gonna be mean in the winter
yeah it did. i finally got it to fit right though. you have to stretch/pull on it and get the hooks installed more towards the middle of the hood. basically just stretch it out as best you can. mine is for a sedan, and has about 1/2 inch extra width which just tucks under. you'll get it soon enough, haha.
When you get a chance do you think you can take a picture of where your hooks are? I just want to do something I know works, if you know what I mean. I guess I'll put it on for good tomorrow after I wash my car.

There were USDM lights, I used a hobby spray paint. It's Tamiya Clear Orange. I think the sku or parts number is TS-73. Check ebay.
I got the bra this afternoon. Did your fit a little funny when you first got it? Mine isn't fitting the way I'd like it to.
