Got the spring for the clutch this morning, touched up a few things and set'er in the hole this afternoon.
Had some parts issues- the header Josh ordered won't be here 'til the weekend, and the stock downpipe had been sawed off in front of the O2 bung. But... where there's a will there's a way!
we had another manifold that didn't fit, so I cut and welded the pipe
we're almost there...just have to fab shift linkage and exhaust. Engine cranked up first try, no CELs 8) Still need to install radiator and hoses etc.- was leaving them out of the way 'til last
Nice, atleast you had all those days to use up before they get dumped. If ya drive write down the mileage for me if you will!
If you ain't here in a couple hours, Ima get that cherry!
It's 2pm. so far today:
Radiator and coolant hoses, bled system, fan works etc
finished vacuum lines- idle fixed @ 750
timing set
VC touched up
shifter finished
bamtech exhaust complete
looks hella clean... very well done... bam you a bad ass (also on a ridiculous
side note; could you send me some of those roof rack mounting screws or
know where to get some?)
Here's a short clip from the "ring seating" ride  that speedo can't be right...
edit: CEL is o2 sensor code-newish sensor, I'm afraid it got contaminated with assembly products?
BTW, I noticed the suspension components said "Skunk"...I guess that means the ride really STINKS! or maybe Skunk2 is Japanese for "hey Doc, how 'bout an epidural?"
And an exhaust clip. I cobbled together parts from wag and teg- basically a hollowed cat, the wagon resonator, and the teg resonator for a muffler...and a rusty chrome split tip just for laughs
skinny: It feels like 3rd gearset isn't even there, and 4th synchro rakes if you don't double-clutch. Kinda sucks to drive, given the long drop from 2 to 4 plus 4th grinding
Funny story about my LS tranny in my wagon (still) - mother f'er started to barely scratch third gear today when I did some higher revving.
Mine is nowhere near toast whatsoever, but it cannot be sold as "perfect" as I previously thought.
Besides I'd have to slow down at work long enough to assemble and install the GS-R box, which doesn't look likely any time soon. There is nothing better for business than trying to start your own project.
I wish we were busy at work. Makes me wonder how long they'll pay us to show up and do nothing....
Remember the discussion about having to massage the hood to clear our B-swaps? Well, Rev got Avid Racing mounts and his hood didn't even touch the vc. I put a strip of masking tape on the contact point to monitor clearance, we'll see after driving tomorrow.

can't wait to see it in.

just 1 ball joint and one lug stud to go...

Alot of crap keeps happening but it's so close to the end I'm ready for it to be 100% done and good to go. lol
Although the motor pulls nice and runs good.

Here are just SOME of the parts I didn't use:
This is all the "wire tuck" I'm doing- vc ground relocated
and a shot before
...and after taking a toothbrush and some wheel cleaner to the aluminum bits
BabyJ called me ocd... wha's that mean?
I might know where one is...
yes, seriously.. You get your GS-R one built up?
just need to get the motivation to put it in lol.
nice swap bam, looks super clean.
^^that was me^^
