I haven't tried these on my wagon yet, but from my experience in the past the vdubs center bore is smaller than the hondas. We could fit honda wheels on vw but not vice versa.
You have it the other way around. the Vw wheels have a bigger bore than a honda so you can use them. the honda wheels wont fit on a vw. Trust me on that. Ive gone through 2 sets of oem bmw wheels and those are the same center hub bore as vw. I am actually on my third set. it only a 1 mm difference so the lugs center the wheel.

Yes those are the exact wheels I have. I was running them on my old Kadett-C. I have been keeping them around in the hopes that I would buy another one but have since aquired a AE86 so I won't be going old school German but old school Japanese (make my Japanese family happy).
My wagon is at stock height in that pic. The Germans love putting these super small wheels on their cars over here.

I also noticed while searching for pictures of fixed up cabbies and vdubs, most of them had teeny tiny wheels lol. You rarely see cars out here with anything smaller than 15". I personally liked how the cab looked with the cults. One of the main selling points for me, along with the sentimental reasons for buying another cab.
I've been wanting some wider 13's to replace my steelies with. I've been looking for quite a while, but the only things that comes up are Rota RB. Those are 8" wide and stick way the fuck out. Plus, tire options are very very limited. There are some old BMW alloys like a BBS mesh wheel that show up now and again that are around 6" wide, but I never seem to have any fun money when they appear and they are rare as hell.
Yeah I also looked into the RB's but never really considered them given that they would pop out with +4 offset.
If there is something you want let me know. Like I said the Germans love these small tires so I can get pretty much anything in any size. I think the 13x7s I have have a 185/55/13.
Just remember the dollar sucks at the moment and I get everything in Euro.

The rims definately need a polish. I would have done it but with the exchange rate at the moment it would cost me a few hundred dollars to have them polished. I am sure you guys in the US can find cheaper places to polish. I think only one has a slight nick in the lip but once I find out if they fit I will get you some pics.

The tires are 185/55/13. Shipping won't be too bad. I get a good deal working with the military. The closer you are to New York the better. I sent thatdoodle a set of four wheels and it was 50-60 bucks for all four.
